yesss that was awesome and I think it would make a great album cover... we even got support from cars as they honked when they drove by and people clapped too...... :D

Just got back from an amazing evening with the meet-up's "French contingent". We went to a free gig at an intimate live music bar in Kentish Town (next-door to Camden) featuring a number of bands and singers, and I loved every minute of it.

One of the bands was Mount Desolation, a side-project of Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin, and the gig was like a big jamming session, with all the musicians doing songs with each other.

I found out about this gig from some "Keanies", and I'm really glad I decided to go.

I loved Mount Desolation's set, but also the performance of an all-sister singing trio called The Staves.

The show was filmed, so there's a good chance we'll "appear" in it somewhere as we were right in front of the stage.

I also got to have a decent chat with Tim afterwards, also made possible by the relaxed, intimate atmosphere - very different from a Keane gig!;)

This was my last evening in London this time around, but I had a fabulous time with the Coldplayers I managed to meet. Definitely the best "weekend" of the year for me so far.

I hope the others have all had a great time too.

I wasn't able to get to any of the official pre or post-Wembley gatherings, so this well and truly made up for it.

I hope there'll be another chance to do something similar in the not-too-distant future.:cool:

OMG you saw Tim !!! *dead* (that's reminds me one year ago when I took a picture with him...)

This weekend I should be able to post full detail and more pics from each day, but here is a brief summary of the last "full" day here, from my perspective:

 

- Decided to visit a few museums and other places with Natascha. We went to the Natural History museum first, but the queue to get in was rediculous, so we skipped right to the Science Museum. It was okay, not quite as good as we anticipated; but at least we checked it out.

 

- On the way to Highgate Cemetery, we were detoured a few times by the Underground (tube) for various reasons (fires, broken down trains, etc.). Upon exiting, walked up and down numerous hills (more up than down I think), and finally made it to Highgate; only to realize they charged an entrance fee. We were feeling a bit cheap, so we skipped entrance and took pictures from the outside; but we could tell it was a beautiful place (I know that may sound creepy to some, but really it was pretty).

 

- Since we were very tired after the walk, decided to take the bus to Belsize Park to meet up with Anna, Frida, Sofia and Nancy. Turns out the bus route went by the Bakery/Beehive. I saw an interesting red-haired guy walking by; I have an idea who it may have been, but I can't be sure (after all, I have to admit that it could have been some random person). Natascha wasn't too pleased that I didn't tell her in time (even though the bus was, you know, moving along the road at high speed :whip:)

 

- Once we met up with those mentioned above, we had dinner at Ravel's Bistro (the one near the Bakery). Had a lovely window seat, my tiny camera fit nicely and discreetly at the table for any interesting passerby. ;)

 

- While eating dinner saw someone walk from the Bakery to the Beehive (not sure who).

 

- Inside joke reminder: YOU B*TCH! :awesome:

 

- Also saw someone walking from the Beehive to the Bakery, and back to the Beehive with a package. It was the same certain someone (man in black) we saw the other day (see previous post). Really, I'm not kidding, that's where the tiny camera sitting discreetly on the table came in handy.

Those are my personal highlights for the last day (so far, at least). Lots more detail to follow in the coming days. So sad this is coming to an end...

Well, it's time for goodbyes tomorrow :cry:
