I like Strawberry Swing, the live version of DAAHF, and Violet Hill. LiJ can be tolerable/ok depending on my mood.

 

Ooh, Reign of Love too :cheesy: Actually all the hidden tracks on VLV are genius compared to the rest of the album.

I have to say i prefer the prospekt march EP over vla album. I know there are lots of fan girls or people who became hardcore coldplay fans thanks to the vlv album but it's not even half as good as their first 2 albums. That's just my opinion of course.

I think their AROBTTH tour is in the top 25 or so best live acts possibly ever, for me. They had a really good mix of songs off their best two albums, and the gigs were more focused on the music. I wish I could have seen them then.

Those were the days. I have been on board with CP since 2000:) I am glad that they are doing well for themselves but I miss the intimacy of their first 2 albums before they blew up:(

They played it in a soundcheck once and it went so well Phil said something like "HAY YOU GUISE LET'S PUT THIS BACK IN THE SETLIST"

 

and the band were like

^I agree! I love the simple Coldplay. The Parachutes era was just amazing. So lovely, yet so simple. Then they began to get all technical after AROBTTH. I miss the old Coldplay. As you said, I wish they would just get back to the basics!
