November 2, 200916 yr Anyone had it done before? My back tooth by my wisdom tooth is going to get pulled in about an hour.
November 2, 200916 yr i had. it wouldn't hurt... after two injections of anaesthesia. :D goodluck. :D
November 2, 200916 yr aaw, i love the pic in your siggy ian. it's like a perfect coldplaying family  i wish i could recognize everyone  @nick: ouch, just ask for anasthasia..
November 2, 200916 yr I got all my 4 wisdom teeth pulled out at once 3 weeks ago. I had to use cooling packs. That was bad and I couldn´t eat so well for a while.. Only porridge all the time.. But I think with one tooth less you won´t have so many difficulties as with wisdom teeth for example ;) Good luck anyways! :)
November 2, 200916 yr I think you will get a ceramic tooth instead.. or at lest something like that.. :) Tomorrow you can eat everything as normal as you are used to I´d say! ;)
November 2, 200916 yr Just hope you don't taste any of the freezing stuff :P That happened last time and I almost threw up, but it was a hilarious reaction since my mouth was frozen at that point.
November 2, 200916 yr I've pulled 6 tooths, if they ask if you want pain killers say Yes with a capital Y. It hurts
November 2, 200916 yr Author what's wrong with it? It needs a root canal but the doc said it won't hold a crown. I got some Vicodin for it.
November 3, 200916 yr I've had plenty of teeth pulled, none of them hurt really other than the wisdom teeth. You're older than I was when I was getting teeth pulled though so the roots are probably bigger and bigger roots = more pain.
November 3, 200916 yr Author how´s your tooth now? I haven't taken any pain meds for it at all, but haven't eaten in over 24 hours. I'm paranoid of causing the clot to dislodge and get dry socket. I don't see how people eat until it heals. I've had plenty of teeth pulled, none of them hurt really other than the wisdom teeth. November 3, 200916 yr Man..I'm around your age but still haven't had my wisdom tooth pulled out. This thread scares me.
November 4, 200916 yr Thanks for being here Farizah :P Maybe we'll never need to pull them out *hopes*
November 4, 200916 yr Eat plenty of ice cream, it will account for faster healing. :) Don't spit! (Yes its gross first and foremost, but it can also dislodge the clot) And don't you worry about getting a dry socket, as long as your dentist got every inflammed tissue out of your socket, you'll be fine. Are you still taking any medications?
November 4, 200916 yr Thanks for being here Farizah :P Maybe we'll never need to pull them out *hopes* Hello. :) There are some instances that the wisdom tooth doesn't need to be pulled out, but oftentimes it pushes the roots of your molars (cos its trying to erupt and it doesn't have space) and it gets resorbed, and its not a good thing. So it is advised that you should get routine radiographs of your teeth for observation and to prevent further damage. :) I still have mine on, and I haven't had them pulled cos in my radiographs it doesn't pathologically destroys my other teeth or cause any inflammation. :D Don't worry about it getting pulled, there are plenty of pain relievers and you will be under anesthesia during the procedure. ;)

Are you still taking any medications? I didn't have any pain from the jaw, I took vicodin today because of a headache I had due to not being able to drink coffee. So all in all the worst pain came from caffeine withdraw, I find that funny. I just haven't eaten much in the last 2 days, just a few hundred calories. Thanks for the advice!
