They predict a lot of snow for tomorrow and I really really hope it won't be too bad, because I want to go home for the weekend...:uhoh:

it's like 11F outside <3

 with a wind chill of -7  ...gah!

I just played football on top of a lake

cold, cold and colder than cold :(

yes :D ! You don't like it !?

you are Jesus:stunned:

It helps if the lake is frozen

Ive lived here since childhood, that lake has never been frozen.

Hot. Freaking hot.

wow and you weren't scared that the ice could break...?:uhoh:

I was actually haha, I think everyone was. But there were so many people it was like, community mentality of someone falling in then theres a lot of people to help

It feels reassuring at the time

We do something similar here, except it's "softball on ice". Last year was the first time I played in the tournament. At first I was a little freaked out about the ice breaking, but people go ice fishing and snowmobiling on it all the time, so that made me feel better. Plus with the temperatures being about -15 celsius, the ice was pretty thick. Of course, after being outside for about 8 hours total, you soon realize what it means to be "chilled to the bone". Unfortunately, half of our team will be out of town this year, so we won't be able to play this time. But I might go anyway just to watch the other teams (if I do, I'll post pics)... http://thecountypress.mihomepaper.com/news/2010-01-03/Sports/Batter_up_for_sixth_annual_softball_on_ice.html

On the plus side, its less 'chilled to the bone' here. But on the minus side, theres absolutely no way someone would take a snowmobile onto it, because it clearly aint that safe.

oooh I see. I think I'd be too scared to do it hehe...but I guess there must be something pretty nostalgic in doing this...

it's raining. and the rain is immidiately frozing, so very icy everywhere...

sunny, blue skies, the way the snow looks with the woods out back is almost like a postcard
