Simon Cowell reportedly in talks with Coldplay for X Factor final appearance

Simon Cowell has reportedly lined up Sir Paul McCartney and George Michael to appear on the final live show on December 12 to duet with this year’s finalists. Cowell is also in talks with Coldplay to appear on the show to duet with Stacey Solomon (if she makes the final).

Simon is said to have wanted the biggest guest stars yet to help secure new record viewing figures for the show, which has already seen peak audiences of nearly 17 million tune in over the past 2 months. Advertisers and ITV bosses are expecting nearly 20 million to watch the final which starts from 19:30 on December 12 and concludes at 21:30 on December 13.

It was previously rumoured that Joe would be singing with George Michael if he makes the final and looks set to be true.

Coldplay are likely to duet with Stacey who was expressed an interest in singing with the band on Xtra Factor. Her mentor Dannii said: “A Chris Martin and Stacey duet would be incredible.”

Sir Paul McCartney will therefore sing with either Olly or Danyl, one of which bookies and polls suggest will leave this weekend.

It might very well be the end of the world as we know it....................................... :stunned:

Guys, calm down, there are worse things in the world.

It won't be the first time Coldplay duets with a shit artist anyway (see Jay-Z)

maybe if it's done well... ?

Last year they had Boyzone, Westlife and Beyonce :laugh4:

a huge step up in my opinion ( except for beyonce, :nice: )

You've really gone and done it now! You've just committed sacrilege in the eyes of the "Jay-Z police" and are henceforth doomed!!:stunned:

I made the mistake of daring to criticise Jay-Z once upon a time and I've been hounded ever since.:dozey:

The difference being that both Boyzone and Westlife are crappy boybands and Beyonce seems to get more and more "manufactured" by the year. Case in point: that awful "put a ring on it" song.:dozey:

Are you comparing Jay-Z to Stacey Solomon?

I'm not a massive Jay-Z fan but that's just silly :rolleyes::shocked2:

:\ On a plus side, I suppose it would be interesting to watch :rolleyes:
