How can that be, he has 57 facebook friends...?

Wow, he literally must have no friends in real life, that's horrible...

Poor guy.

Yes, really.

How do you think he won 'funniest poster' award?

It certainly wasn't through being punny  - unless there are an awful lot of people who voted without any sense of humour whatsoever. It was all done by PM, email, and through facebook.

I have no idea if our argument on the C&C thread was the reason for him getting banned - though I wouldn't be surprised as he lied through his teeth, and insulted me in a language I don't understand (German) - but at least I say everything I have to say to him to his face, or anyone else on here. He prefers to work behind the scenes, manipulate people, slander people and try to work up support whenever he gets into an argument on here. Pathetic.

Where was all this when he first joined the forum and I had to shoot him apart by myself?

Still appreciated though, dont get me wrong.

haha Nathan won in the 1st stage (24 vs 17 votes) and Mark won the 2nd stage just with 3 votes more than Nathan so that wouldn't surprise anyone really

He has once (or twice) related my posts with religions and minority issues. My English is very bad when it comes to arguments, so I just ignore him.

I guess it's taken quite a few people a long time to wise up to his ways. Plus, not everyone spends 24/7 online here like he does, so probably lots of people missed an awful lot.

Personally I think he should have been banned outright when he upset that group of girls so much with his persistent trolling that they left and set up their own forum. Or when he caused so much trouble when made a mod. Or....I will break my keyboard if I go on.

It's Ian and Jen's prerogative, and I respect the laid-back way they run this board - they are lovely laid-back people. Unfortunately though Mark takes full advantage of it. I'm a member of around ten online communities and he would not be tolerated anywhere other than here.

By the way Reilly, nice to meet you. I've read many obnoxious insults about you from Mark (most of them, of course, in places he knew you wouldn't see them) so you must be a stand-up guy :)

To be fair, I have been totally obnoxious towards Mark, but as you state here and many others have told me, he can be even more ignorant, except I'm not there to see it. At least I have only insulted him on this forum, where he can see it, and where he can dodge such insults with vague sarcastic responses which mean nothing to everyone.

Good to meet you as well.

The only approach that actually works.

The thing with Mark is that when it gets to the point where you can't hold your tongue anymore, if you still avoid attacking him personally, but instead clearly, firmly, and logically point out why his behavior is inappropriate, (and back off when he doesn't get it) he doesn't seem to take it personally. And then there isn't a fight.

I dunno, I guess I've always dealt with difficult people on the board with the thought that learning how to deal with difficult people in any situation is an essential life skill. And it has turned out to have helped me get along with a lot of different groups of people I would have never thought I could.

Anyway, all I have to say on the matter. Shut down arguments before they happen, and you never have to deal with them. (well, except our longsuffering admin and mods  ) Questions work well for that.

Looks like Mark has been very naughty!

Eeeew! I'm not married to him!:P

Big difference between a spouse who you do need to hash things out with and a stranger who's opinion ultimately means nothing to your life.

I know you directed that question at Fragster, but as far as I'm aware, it's up to me now.

And no, you will be known as The Janitor. Its not as bad as it sounds, but can you mop the bathroom?

That's not fair! I made the Doom Crew group and now I get stuck as a lousy Janitor? I feel so unappreciated! :bigcry:

Can I be The Janitor Princess then?

He's not a stranger to me (in fact it turns out, very sadly, that he is a distant relative of mine :()- he's someone who has been deeply unpleasant in person on repeated occasions to my real life friends. I've had many chances over the last year to meet him in person, but have decided to avoid the inevitable conflict.

Not any more. Provoking me and then repeatedly lying, and then insulting me in a language he knows I don't understand...I cannot wait to see him when he's next in London and give a him a very large piece of my mind.

Well things have spilled over into the third dimension! And I wont get involved in bloodlines on the net. All the best, for you and Mark.

But this does feel crazy, have to admit.

Sure it's only the third dimension? :uhoh2: *backs away slowly*

By the way, it's awesome to have you back around Reilly. You were missed. :nice:

Thank you as much as possible :nice:

Usually I'm a person who tries not to get into fights.

Like Rudy said, I'm not really 'educated' enough to have arguments in english :laugh3:

Maybe lame excuse but I reckon' this also saved me from getting into a discussion with no outcome.

Where I see the whole problem is that he constantly comes to threads to do his word twisting which may have been funny at the beginning but it's not at all anymore!

He knowingly clashed with certain people and followed these people to threads he wouldn't post in in the first place (for instance the C&C thread).

So going to these threads, posting in there and starting fights/arguments and then refering to 'freedom of speech' is just so poor.

It's more than obvious that it's pure provocation :(

Usually I keep ignoring these kind of people but at some point you just can't do that anymore. He hijacks other threads and spreads a foul atmosphere so that many users don't feel like posting anymore ... :(

How sad is that?!

So then I went to the C&C thread and TRIED on a diplomatic and civilized way to make him aware why people disliked (hate is just such a strong word ;) ) him but again, he didn't get it at all ...

So I really hope that this suspension will actually make him think. It would be for the better of the board.

he didn't get it at all ...

He didn't and I'm pretty sure he won't get it forever.

He didn't and I'm pretty sure he won't get it forever.

Just stay positive.

I mean ... he's now suspended for a week but if he continues to harass others Ian may delete his account for ever and always. So the suspension is a honest warning towards him.

And in case he registers with a different username it can be revealed soon because of IP addies and then he's in even more trouble ...

I really don't like 'slandering' over people and talking in general like this, but it's honestly sad that it had to come this far :(
