Woohoo! I have a funny feeling moguls are going to be huge here in 10 or 15 years...

both men's and women's were truly awesome, can't wait until the alpine skiing picks up.

The moguls are definitely incredible. I can't even imagine doing those, especially at those speeds. My friend and I were watching the womens' and talking about how their knees might as well be replaced with shock absorbers. :dizzy:

Yes! Canada's first gold medal on home soil!

Alex Bilodeau is my hero :D

that was amazing to watch. moguls take a lot of skill.

god, I love the Olympics. we just have it on the tv 24/7, and our school was nice enough to put a tv in every classroom! :D

oh and dale begg-smith just looked like an idiot the whole time... BE HAPPY, you just won an olympic medal!

Great ... cross-country skiing now... very exciting!!!

well the downhill was kind of a disappointment for canada, and the track itself wasn't very exciting. I've skied it myself, and though there are a lot of changes in direction in the course, the snow is kinda slow today and the course isn't difficult.

still fun to watch though!

Yeah here is a hilarious comment I saw:

Lol, I think about 99% of the western world was rooting against him as soon the announcer mentioned that he ran a spam advertising company.

So I really don't think I like that Ohno guy. I saw an interview with him and he defiantly came off as a cocky asshole. He kept going on about he could get into any club he wanted and yeah....

well he can, and I don't think he was bragging so much as contrasting his celebrity status with his skating ambitions.

GO Canada!

Our home and native land!

True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,

The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

:nice:

Anyone else loving the Snowboarding?

Yah, I'm not much of a fan either. I get that cocky vibe from him too.

Although I do root for him over the other speed skaters.

I like J.R. Celski though. He seems nice and down to earth.

I haven't watched even one minute of the olympics yet :disappointed:

I only saw the final race. But it was pretty awesome. So close to a gold!

I forgot you lived in the "great white north" earlier in your life.

And it's not even like a funny cocky vibe it's a straight up arrogant look at me vibe. But is that the other American speed skater? I like him too.

Yes and yes.

But in all honesty I don't dislike Ohno too much, I just find him kind of annoying in that way.

So who caught the men's Downhill?

I enjoyed it, as always, as the downhill is my favourite event. However, I wanted Bode Miller to win, as I love his "daredevil" approach to skiing.;)

oh me too, I love the downhill!

Bode is one of my favourites too, I would've preferred if he won! he's actually a really nice guy too, even though you may hear he's a douchebag. I was surprised Didier Defago did so well though, I thought for sure Dider Cuche would be up there!

and I can't wait for the women's! Lindsey Vonn is my hero :D

I totally agree. She's the female "Bode"!:P

At least Bode got a bronze, anyway.;)
