I got a boxset of Tommy Hilfiger (sic?) socks. They are lovely socks, but I don't like clearly-branded products much. Luckily, my face is so gorgeous no one I meet ever checks out my socks :laugh3:

i have millions of them because whatever my mum gives me as a present - it always contains socks, lol.

i don't mind, tho. it's not like they aren't useful and the rest of the present is usually far more interesting :D

I have socks that have red and green stripes with a reindeer on them. I think they will fit me by next summer, which is when Christmas Socks are useful. :dozey:

Socks are the most boring present imaginable. Classic example of buying a present "just for the sake of it". You might as well not bother at all.:dozey:

On the contrary, Mark, socks can be a great and thoughtful gift.

 

If you buy regular-use socks, it shows that you know the person needs more of those type (my case for instance, I am running low).

 

Or if you buy decorated "holiday" socks it shows you know the person will appreciate such a gift and you know their tastes well enough to pick out something they'll like.

 

And if you buy them old dirty used gym socks, it shows you have a wild sense of humor and a tolerance for bad smells.
