Because I think I'm always going to think that Beck is a musical genius no matter what. ahaha. I think Beck is influenced by so many different genres himself that makes him a great starting point for someone wanting to broaden their musical horizons

December 30, 200916 yr Elbow's 4 albums; Asleep In The Back, Cast Of Thousands, Leaders Of The Free World and The Seldom Seen Kid Yes!! :awesome: I was waiting for someone to say Elbow! :nice: Also: Patrick Park- Loneliness Knows my Name Patrick Park- Everyone's in Everyone Joseph Arthur- Redemption's Son Joseph Arthur- Our Shadows Will Remain Both artists are very folky, and sort of mellow I think. :) Also, don't know if you're into classical music, but The Planets Suite by Gustav Holst is great, and I think very accessible for people who don't listen to much orchestral music. :nice: Also, I've really enjoyed the latest Keane album (Perfect Symmetry) and the latest Muse album (The Resistance) but my guess is you're already familiar with those. :P

They still sound amazing now, they're not afraid to play the old stuff (take note Mr. Berryman and give us Shiver :P), and they always do a long set. *fetches Ipod to have a listen to the CH live cd*

Last time I saw Crowded House live (about 3 years ago I think) they recorded each show then released 1000 copies of each one for sale, so I have a permenant reminder of the concert I was at... really wish Coldplay would do that!
January 3, 201016 yr Author UPDATE: I really enjoyed Radiohead's Kid A and I am DEFINETELY going to listen to more Radiohead. I must admit however that I was dissapointed by Frenger's by Mew. I still don't really get Mew, but what Is wierd is that I really like their song 'The Zookeepers Boy', I love it, but I haven't found any other Mew song I really like which is a shame :(
