Pessimistic.

2009 had been fantastic which makes me scared of 2010.

Good years happening one after another? Fat chance.

The way I see it, the glass is half full if you filled it up halfway and half empty if it was full and went down to half.

I think 2010 will be much better than 2009. For me, anyways.

I'm pretty pessimistic. I mean this past year was pretty horrible (government wise and life wise). So, this year is probably going to be even more horrible.

I agree except if you unfill it half full and refill half empty then it went up to half after having unfilled both halfs then you are left with half full yet half empty but only if you fill it unfull

My mind is blown.

I'm a realist. There will be good things. There will be bad things. They may balance each other out and they might not. Plan for the worst, hope for the best, and expect something in the middle.

 

Now for the upcoming year/decade? I'm cautiously optimistic about the next decade, if only because the last one was so crappy on a global scale this coming decade won't have to do much to seem better. This next year, not so much- there's still a lot of crap from the past decade to work out and that's gonna take time. You can't be stupid for a decade and not expect consequences.
