Are you happy that you like coldplay?

^Chris and Guy, preferably together, to the sound of shiver...

by the way i'm way too old for these boys, but then again math was never my strong suit so who's counting...;)

why that song :blank:

Change Chris to Will. I actually can't imagine Chris forcing himself on me :blank:

Let's see. For me I'm rather lucky than happy. In the sense that I got to discover their music. *And I'm not trying to be cheesy*

The only proper regret I have is not getting into them earlier on at the start or seeing them live in the AROBTTH or X&Y era - I was 10 when Parachutes came out and I didn't start listening to them properly until I was 14.

What's with the remorseful attitude?

When I was 10 I didn't know they existed.

I was in high school when I bought X&Y just because of Fix You and I wasn't even a fan (I guess that's me being an unusual records collector)

Then there's this tolerance on that piece of album in the process. Tadah.

Loving Coldplay have always provided me with great things and have always helped me in many, many ways. It may sound a bit cliché, but their music is medicine to my soul, there's nothing compared to a great listening of one of their albums, specially 'a rush'. It has something pretty powerful I can't tell, but it's amazing to feel it. Coldplay have songs to cheer you up, to make you feel introspective, to help you get through different kind of situations and, besides everything, the songs make you grow up and you can take great learning from them.

I don't even have to mention that the band is a great example amongst others. The guys are all very lovely, kind, engaged to important subjects and they are always showing off some big and important values. You just don't find it every day.

At last but not least, the band gave me true friends that I'm gonna keep in my heart forever. Distance does not matter when there's love envolved. This board is an example of how people can get closer and closer even being far from each other. You can feel the love around.

Well, yeah, I'm very happy that I like Coldplay. I'm even proud of it. :smug:

To be honest i didnt think music could change my life as much as i thought it can, before i heard coldplays music. they have really and truly changed the way i am and the way i think. no matter what kind of a mood you in, some how each coldplay song can help you through, and i dont know what frame of mind id be if i hadnt of listened to coldplay. it may sound dumb, but for example i use to get angry so easy, but now all i have to do is listen to a coldplay song or even just sing in my mind a coldplay song and i calm.

they also helped me realise there alot more to music and lyrics then what meets the eye, and that the true meaning isnt always what you think they want you to think but its more what you make of it, and what you do with it..if that makes any sence, and since then songs from other bands like oasis have made more sence to me now then they did before. so i guess with out coldplay id be a compleatly different person!

I am so very happy that I like Coldplay :D

Their music has changed my life so much and I have them to thank for getting me through some bad times, and also providing a soundtrack for the good times :cheesy:

Im very proud to be a freaky-coldplay-addicted fan !

:D

This again :awesome:

Yeah..of cause ^^

I'm a proud coldplay freak :D

My life wouldn't be the same without Coldplay, and for that I am grateful.

My friends have gotten used to the fact that I'm obssessed with Coldplay and no longer mention anything about it. Although when I first started listening to them, I got a little bit of shit from them, but I didn't care! :P

I really like Coldplay, they're my favorite band.

No question asked.

Altho, It's embarrasing because they're considered a fangirl band, because apparantly they're music sucks (Which I totally disagree) and that Chris is some kind of **** (also disagree)

Especially here, ironically enough.

No. I am so terribly depressed because I like Coldplay.

In all seriousness, I really think my life has changed because of them. I sort resent from the term "fangirl" when I'm called one because to me a fangirl is a girl who only likes a band for their attractiveness and though yes, I think Coldplay is a handsome band (very handsome) I am in love with their music so much more, which is like a crazy crazy amount. It conveys every emotion I could ever feel and the lyrics are beautiful. My life would be very very different without them.

But I have to admit, I am crazy obsessive when it comes to Coldplay, so the whole fangirl thing isn't too far off

Yes I do. And I don't care if other people dislike them or think they aren't a good band, we all have different tastes.

hmmm do i have any regrets coldplay wise?

no.

well yes one... the fact that i wasnt able to see them on the parachutes or rush o blood or X&Y tour guts me.

Particularly because I feel like the commercial success of Viva la Vida changed the game, it knocked them out of the park fame wise, now theyre a huge band and i sometimes wonder if they'd change as people because of it... not completely just... how they treat their fans or how they address the crowd... they're in the spotlight now much more thanks to that album.. so chris will think twice on doing something crazy or silly or.. well Chis-ish before he does it now.

So I wish I could've seen them before the spotlight was so intense.

aside from that... I will always be greatful... and not to sound melodramatic but, Coldplay's music has played such and important role in my life and was there for me at the most crucial moments... I really dont know if I'd be here now without it.

Their music gave me hope and joy.

. Coldplay is the best band in the world no question.

It’s about time die hard Coldplay fans started talking back to the idiots that make fun of them.

*How is that for a first post?

just

..

no regrets at all, just not been listening to CP music before(parachutes,a rush or x&y eras)

Yes. I am very happy, and ...actually, it is a mixture of feelings. Many reasons and stories...but I guess what I feel/absorb from their music is sth. that I can certainly pass out for either friends or people when I think they need that. The music has tons of Curing/Loving effects and I feel it is sth. simple, real, honest, beautiful and caring...and it is very my Type of music - aesthetically - I feel like drifting, floating, dancing along - maybe my soul flying out of the body....it also inspires me lots of related art creation. I love to share them with my friends either in happy time or in very bad time - the effect is amazing. I think the band will truly feel happy to see the music can have a big positive impact on the audiences - part of the essence and beauty of making it too, probably. Therefore, I still think my future b/f shall love Coldplay as deeply as much as I do, haha :) - I think Coldplay is my "lucky" star *~

so chris will think twice on doing something crazy or silly or.. well Chis-ish before he does it now.

Well Chris' crowd run was quite crazy :nice:

But I agree I sometimes hate not having been able to see them on the other tours because the atmosphere was just different and that's simply never coming back. I do trust Coldplay enough to trust that they won't change in a bad way because of the fame.

I don't regret being into Coldplay at all, but I know I have to keep myself from obsessing to much because otherwise it'll take over my life and will stop my creativity, but otherwise they're great and I'm inspired by them and they make me as happy as I can be
