but just think about all the interesting things you'll learn in a museum :nice:

Oh yes, definitely. I'm having a great time there. But still...I don't know if I would want to work there full.time, you know?

So, you don't really know what you want to do either? Any vague ideas? Or anything that might interest you? I read that you like the thought of being a teacher. :nice:

be a someone that's good. just live my life, the way i want it to be, as long as i'm not doing anything wrong.

i studied a degree (Tourism) that is too affected by the current economic crises everywhere, when back 3 years ago was a promising one. :\ so there are few job offers at the moment, and seems that yet interviews value more the fact that i have a driving license or not, instead of the fact i speak 3 foreign languages fluently.

can hate politicians and interviews be considered a 'job'?

other than that i want to be a writer, but meh for that i need to earn my own money to self-publish cause i feel contests are even worst than the job interviews themselves. :bomb:

yeah i understand.

teacher is one option

but maybe not so much fo children, i'll have my hands full with my own soon :anxious:

i was thinking more in the lines of special ed teacher :nice:

but i would have to see what exactly i have to study for it :/

I'm still doing this apprenticeship in that music shop.....and I still have no clue what to do after I've finished....I sold instruments until yesterday....a thing I definitelsy do not want to do in the future....since today I am selling sheet music and music books and classical CDs (unfortunately we don't have that much CDs...) and I still think I am more interested in this stuff...perhaps I will go to uni again after I've finished this and study musicology...or I will work in a record shop...I really don't know....:\

I'm a part-time author and I also work at an animal shelter/hospital. I am majoring in history at the moment. :) I used to be a horse trainer, but the stable that I worked for got their land taken away from them because they couldn't afford to make the payment for the land. So, basically, I was out of a job. That's when I found this job at the animal shelter.

But, whatever you do, don't become an editor. My dad used to do that and he hated it. Most of his job was dealing with angry authors. But, do whatever your heart desires. :)

this is an awful question and I wish I had an answer :(

I once wanted to be a translator, still taking interpreting courses, but it can quickly get boring!

Im a trainee teacher at the university of plymouth, so i guess i want to be a teacher :D

I'm majoring in business this year, I'm working in a company that sells some products to the US and I wanna study a master degree abroad in a year or so, meanwhile I still have work to do for college (thesis) so I can major.

I'll become a geologist!

Now I'm doing my applied science foundation, and gonna major in Geology next year.

OMG you're majoring next year! That's so great! Rudz!

I know no one's names, that's so sad :bigcry: Well, I'm Lívia by the way :)

Anyway, flickahidalgo, you have done so many things so far! :nice: Nice opportunities! I believe it clarifies your ideas more, right? I mean, getting in contact with different areas and jobs gives you a better view of what you like/don't like. Experience is always welcomed, isn't it?

Oh, that's great, Rudy! A friend of mine is crazy for geology, she'll major in Geology any time soon as well. Good luck! ;)

Hogy, I'm sure this opportunity at the museum will make your ideas clearer. You'll have already the chance to try something you had in mind, which is great. You are studying very cool subjects, I bet there's plenty of different ways to follow. I think your achievements will appear by time, maybe after concluding specific subjects at college or whatever. Anyway, it's good to have in mind that we can always try lots of things and move on.

I'm studying architecture. I don't know if I've made the right choice, but I'm putting lots of effort in it. I still have a loooong way to pass through, but I'm trying to keep my objectives in order since now. My main idea is to get envolved with history of art, new technologies envolving environmental issues or social architecture. This last one captivates me more, but, at this moment, I'm trying something related to urbanism. Well, we'll see.

Li, you're very smart I'm sure you'll do it great :D

:D Hi everyone!

Nice thread! made me think. I just finished College and I really want to be a diplomat, I hold a degree in International Relations....but I guess I need to clarify my ideas to see if I want that now....:( World seems so full of possibilities!

Ohhhh, Lore, thank you! :nice: I tell you the same!

Have you already tried something concerning sociology's different areas? :)

Wow, Ellen, that sounds great! I thought of taking International Relations as well before going to uni! Do you think of 'Instituto Rio Branco' then?

no, not yet, I like politics a lot but also another things as economy. I'm not sure

Me and my friend want to start some kind of business, I don't see myself working all my life as a sociologist.

Ohhhh, Lore, thank you! :nice: I tell you the same!

:D oie! que ótimo amei muito o curso!

Yeah I do, even before I started IR that was what I wanted...but you know it's an amazing field and I love poitics and so...but you might know how hard is to get there:\ so I'm thinking on doing something before it...cus diplomacy is a life carrer...

Ohhh, I see. Do you have to take any ''estágio'' there in Chile, Lore? I have nooo idea of the word in english, sorry. But maybe you'll understand.

Oh yeah, I remember that you told me about politics... I bet you would do a great, great, great chilean president! ;) And I really mean it. Seriously.

Hmmmm, your idea sounds interesting. What kind of business, have you already thought of it?

(Btw, cooooool sig! )

Oi, oi! :nice:

Nice to meet you! I'm Lívia :)

Politics sounds nice as well, our country needs people with different ideas and honesty in their hands, right? :D

Well, yeah, it appears to be very hard... :\ But I know you may have plenty of disposal if you really wanna make it!

:D Oi lívia! nunca tinha te visto por aqui!:D eu sou a Ellendiane...Ellen para melhorar...

Well I completely agree with you about our political situation and I think that we may be better in the future with we care enough to do something. I'll work hard for it:D

thanks and good luck to you too!:D

First I'll read society knowledge in High School, and study as hard as I can. Though I'll also try to read some classes just for fun, as well. Like art history, I'd love to study that even though I wont need it. But I think I need to keep a balance, to keep me motivated.

After finishing High School, I want to take a year off. I have some money saved, so maybe I'll be out travelling. Maybe live in Paris for a year, I have no idea.

Then I'll try to get into the psychology line at some university. I don't know where, currently. And I have some connections so I'll hopefully study much in other countries than Sweden. I'll have to see.

After that... hm. I dont know. Everything's a bit fuzzy.

Pois é, eu estava beeeem sumida por uns tempos, mas quero permancer aqui mais e mais.

I have faith in you, Ellen! :D Please, do your best to make our country a better place to live! And be brave, ok? :P But I won't mind if you become a great diplomatic either. ;)

And thank you! :nice:

awwww fica!!!!!

Thank you so much!!!! I feel encouraged now!!!!! thank you!

OMG Livia, architecture :bomb:

I always wanted to do architecture or urban planning, but I chose geology instead.

Ohhhh, that's great to hear, Ellen! :nice:

hahaha

And you really need to be encouraged! Most of people won't go after their dreams because they would think they're too stupid or impossible to be achieved. What a shame, isn't it?

Ohhhh, Rudy, really? That's strange, I've heard that quite a lot these last few days... :huh2:

But, anyway, there is still a looooot of time for you to do what you wanna do, isn't it? But, on the other hand, geology seems very fine. And you can always try to relate both... I've had a subject called urban geology last semester and it was reeeeally cool.

ABSOLUTELY TRUE.....I rather die trying to achieve them than giving up!!!

Você é ótima querida de verdade vai ser uma ótima arquiteta!!!

I want to be an art teacher.

I'm majoring in art education.

Beautiful line you have there, Ellen! ;)

Ohhh, muito obrigada! :nice: Que bondade a sua! De qualquer forma, fiquei muito feliz, espero muito também poder contribuir positivamente com a minha profissão, assim como vc!

Makayla, that's coooooool! :o I guess I would be happy doing that too...

I've already seen that you're pretty talented on the ''show off you coldplay...'' thread!
