February 17, 201016 yr so there are five candidates Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, Hurley and Sun or Jin. (I'd say Jin, but idk why. maybe women not allowed to be candidate??lol ). So Kate is not a candidate (Thanks God maybe they'll get rid of her soon). After seeing this episode I'm on MIB side, cause he convinced me that all he wants to do is to get of the island and to be free. Though it might all change after we see Richard centirc episode, cause he seemed to be so scared of MIB so there should be a damn good reason why. I don't think that he didn't want to go with him cause he's still on Jacob's side. and this: The only thing I didn't like about the episode was that I felt the end of the episode was somewhat anti-climatic. I mean I felt as though it didn't have one of those Lost moments where you think "what the hell is going on?" or "what is going to happen?"
February 17, 201016 yr You're gullible if you really think Esau isn't up to something. it's Jin because he is the one at the temple, he was the one on the list etc.

About the list. We don't know anything about it. we don't know who's on it. maybe even Miles. Kate is on it and she's not a "candidate" . so
February 17, 201016 yr well that's obious. I wonder what's with the numers 4- locke 8- reyes 15- ford 16-jarrah 23- shephard 42-kwon that's all of the numers. nobody else "fits" here. so kate is not important at all. What a shocker.

February 18, 201016 yr I'm not that into the season so far. :dozey: I don't like the stuff on the island because there are too many storylines and stuff is just getting too weird (for Lost, that's saying something). For example: I guess the ending of episode 4 should've come as a (kind of) shock or something but it didn't. I mean, it's kinda been there done that. Plus, I really, really haven't liked any form of Locke since mid season 3, so Locke (or Esau, whatever) being one of the key characters to the secrets of the island isn't appealing to me. I like the stuff off island a bit better because it's different, but more in a way that I used to like the characters than that I'm really interested in what's gonna happen to them. I am excited for Sawyer/Desmond/Ben centric episodes though. Especially Sawyer really has to get one because his last centric one was.. season 3? To be honest, I don't really remember much of season 5 because I watched it straight through instead of the American schedule like I usually do (funny fact: I spent months in New Zealand avoiding tv on Wednesday evenings but got spoiled anyway. :disappointed: Damn promos ;;><)
February 18, 201016 yr Not sure if this has been posted yet, but someone just posted this link on my facebook profile. http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Candidates#Known_candidates it's the list of all the names on the wall so crazy!
February 19, 201016 yr That's creepy. I still wonder where is Kate's and why other names are crossed if they're still alive like Miles, Ben or Aaron (if that's him). Maybe Kate's name is there but we just didn't see it. But what takes to be a "candidate"?

Maybe Kate's name is there but we just didn't see it. But what takes to be a "candidate"? yeah... I wonder why certain people are chosen. Also if they were chosen and written down then did Jacob meet with them at another time?
February 20, 201016 yr You don't have to die to not be a candidate, christ, is it that hard to grasp?
February 20, 201016 yr You don't have to die to not be a candidate, christ, is it that hard to grasp? That would be really morbid. :D
February 20, 201016 yr I don't like what you've done with that Desmond pic, it was perfect as it was.
February 20, 201016 yr Meh. The original looks so desaturated. Plus, there was a really ugly hd watermark on it.
February 20, 201016 yr i'd have to agree w/ nathan... the old one was better. the current one is way too saturated
February 20, 201016 yr Cause I'm stubborn? I'll probably end up making something different though. But I like playing around in photoshop.
February 22, 201016 yr this is a kind of amusing article about the different types of LOST fans... http://www.tv.com/story/21490.html I've skimmed thru the thread, so forgive me if I'm asking about something that's already been discussed, but... - so far in the parallel timeline, we've seen that John still apparently has a relationship with his father (his fiancee mentions inviting his dad to the wedding); Hurley has good luck, rather than bad; and Shannon wasn't even on Oceanic 815. Yet Kate is still wanted (for something) and Claire still intends to give up her baby for adoption. I'm curious as to why some things off island changed drastically and others didn't. anyone have any ideas?

Things more closely related to things first changed by the bomb would change the most. Other things would be nudged out of place gradually. But then people's personalities come into it too. Someone who was prone to make certain choices might make the same choice in different circumstances. For instance with Kate there's a rumor that I forgot where I heard it, that in the parellel world she didn't blow up her "stepfather", she killed an abusive boyfriend. And then there's genetics. For instance Rose probably would have gotten cancer no matter what happened.
