Hey guys. :D I'm Ngaio (yes, my real name). Anyway, I've been listening to Coldplay since I heard Clocks in 02. From there, I had heard a lot of songs by them over the years... and then I listened to Fix You, after I heard the song in the World Trade Center movie.. anyway..

 

Didn't really get into them until I decided to buy Viva on iTunes one night shortly after hearing Viva La Vida (ironically, now, I don't like that song, haha). Anyway, listened to it for most of 2008, and then didn't really listen to anything by them (with the exception of Don't Panic, which I listened to here and there in early 2009, and In My Place mid-2009) up until I was on YouTube and saw the footage of Chris Martin running through a crowd of fans at the Sound Relief... So, afterwards, I decided to go on an iTunes spending spree and buy all of their albums, which I did.

 

I set Parachutes to play... Wasn't extremely impressed, except for the exception of Shiver, Spies and Trouble--and the chorus of Yellow... anyway, next album playing was Rush of Blood. Wasn't impressed with the first track, but anything afterwards was love at first sight.. or sound in this case. Then halfway through listening to the album, I told my friend on Facebook, who I didn't know was a Coldplay zombie at the time that I had bought their albums, and was listening to Rush of Blood. She told me to listen to Amsterdam, so I skipped the rest of the album, and did... Haha, that's easily now my favorite song of all time. :) So, yeah, from square one (no pun intended ;)), I'm a Coldplay fan now.

Now, about myself:

 

I'm Ngaio, I'm 14, (15 on Feb. 11th!) I'm a musician. Particularly a pianist, guitarist, bassist, and I sing. I also write and record my own songs.

 

I'm also a photographer. I have a Canon T1i with a 50mm f/1.8 lens, and a Tamron 70-300mm f/4 lens. My goal is to pursue videography though! :)

 

 

Other favorite bands of mine include Weezer, Team Sleep, Modest Mouse, things along those lines.

 

My mother is a singer, and my Dad was a pianist who played with some pretty renowned Jazz artists. My Mom as well. My Dad past away though.. I'm originally from Las Vegas, NV, but moved to California when I was age 6 I believe. First to Topanga (day before 9/11, coincidentally) and then to Malibu, then back to Topanga, then to Venice, CA, then to Santa Monica, haha... then back to Venice, then Marina del Rey, and finally, where I now live, and have lived for the past two years: Big Bear City, CA. :D
