Ok. I might need some spares.

thankyou nick. if i wasn't for your great review, i wouldn't be hosting this exchange.

:cheesy:

I hope it doesn't matter that 2 of my files are mp4 format as opposed to mp3...

Also, is there any way to make sure all the file info is gone after going into the Properties of each file and deleting everything but track name----which I changed to "Track X."...?

^that should be ok. Most people here use players that are compatible with those files anyway. There is no way to make sure that all the info is all deleted except maybe open it in a different audio player if you have one. Otherwise, it should be fine.

I'm afraid if the person who reviews my mixtape doesn't like it :uneasy:

I'm having a little trouble removing the album artwork, they won't show up in iTunes but they will will show up in Windows Media Player or in the folder itself :(

^ Maybe you should try replacing it by another picture (black square if you don't want to make an artwork ?)

Can I use files downloaded from iTunes?

And if I need to convert the files into some other format, I don't know how to do it..

converting files shouldn't really be a problem, as most people use iTunes.

Okay, how crucial is it that all of the info is deleted? I mean, in the end people will find out all the song info anyway, and it's the actual arrangement that counts---not the surprise. I have a couple of songs with which the info simply won't go away, no matter how many times I try to delete it.

There must be some uber-strong tags on these files that can't be manually deleted this way...what should I do?

^ Instead of deleting, you should try to rename with fake info (seems it worked for Italian Plastic) :) If it doesn't work, I dunno, try to change info by clicking ''right'' AND change them also on itunes or something like this...

No! Some people are resisting :P

I dunno if 'media convert' can do the itunes-> mp3 thing but you can try, it's a pretty powerful tool and you don't need to DL anything ^^

For the infos that won't go away via Windows Media player, you have to right click on the song and check EVERY tag (for exemple: there is an 'simple' AND an 'advance' button for the 'resume' tag) Be careful to erase all thing on each tag, then click sur 'applicate' and then ok :)

@Gail: hey, how are you?!! long time no see! Glad you participate again though we probably won't be match this time...

ugh!... apparently i still haven't figured out how to properly and more cleanly put everything in RAR, delete info and etc...

It's done and everything but I left quite a mess :(

hi Aurelie!! Yup, it's been a long time. I've missed a couple of mixtape exchanges since the last time we partnered (i think)! I'm not sure about the chances of us partnering again, though. there are lots participants this time. hope you enjoy your mix!

Thank you!

I didn't think it worked to upload iTunes files to MegaUpload (or such), I thought it had to be RAR files

I'm like so excited, like totally, like omygosh!

Thank you!

huu yes it does have to be mp3 files compressed into a .zip or .rar file actually... Once you deleted everything (on itunes, for instance) you've got to find the original mp3 file on your computer... I mean, I think so

This is getting quite confusing XD

You have to make a file on your compter, put all your mp3 in it and THEN, if you have download the program (winrar or winzip), you right click on the file and press 'compress it'. You have then a little archive that appear on your desktop and it's this one you have to upload :)
