If love and hate wouldn't exist in our society, we would have instant peace and harmony. So first you claim that hate and love doesn't exist, and then you say hate and love shouldn't exist? If love and hate didn't exist they would re-appear as "really like" or "really dislike" and eventually work their way into easier terms such as love or hate. It's just words that you are focussing on. The important thing is the emotions they represent, and which there will always be, whether or not there's a word for them..
