(I'm not sure what it means though). And the South Island has the name Te Wai Pounamu (which means The Place Of The Greenstone). This is because greenstone was valuable to the Maori. Some huge issues going on around school are the recent budget cuts (which are also taking a huge toll on California), layoffs and furloughs, and a 32% tuition increase. Fun, fun, fun. :dozey:

(Except for me of course :smug: ) There's at least 1 lockdown a week, the school is overcrowded, and there's trash everywhere. It smells like weed in the lockerooms. There's always traffic.
