wow, I expected him to have a thread with more posts.

I'm not really a Moby fan, although I recognize he has some great songs and well, what I wanted to say is that today I've seen an interview on the telly they made to him and I liked it, everything he said... he seemed to be so sensible.

Ah, also I didn't know he knew Spanish!

I'm a huge fan of Play and various songs from 18 and Hotel but that's about it. I have all his B-Side albums but I can't get into them. My favorite song of his is Everloving, though the song Alone from Animal Rights is amazing. :)

why there's only this old thread for Moby?

i just saw that announcement on fb.

hi.

so, here's the official album announcement. here goes: on june 30th i'm releasing my next album, 'wait for me'.

i recorded the album here in my studio on the lower east side (although 'studio' always seems like an overly grand word for a bunch of equipment set up in a small bedroom). in the past i've worked in large and small studios, but for this record i wanted to record everything at home by myself....

He's been a bit quiet for a while......................... and from what I remember his last album was rather disappointing.;)

He's another one who has sort of "lost his way" a bit.

I reckon his last decent album was "18".

I really love his Hotel stuff. Other than that, haven't really gotten into him.

I saw him live on his "18" tour and he was extremely impressive indeed!;)

it is moby as we know him !

edit: uhm well maybe not exactly. I have to listen to the album more often to make a statement but its nice so far!!! :wideeyed:

I'm also surprised that this thread has very few posts.

I like Moby, but I haven't heard anything new since Hotel...

No love for Moby yet?

Dream About Me and We Are All Made of Stars FTW!

Oh and Shot In The back of The head too :nice:

No love for Moby still :bigcry:

i like him , 18 is a great album , and Wait for me is not too bad... i still have to listen the other albums

the new album's looking good. i liked Pale Horses & there was a D&B mix of One Time We Lived available for d/l recently.

tho so far i love Play the most amongst his albums. Porcelain, Natural Blues are classics. :)

Wait For Me is really neat work, there was also a remixed version of the album Last Night released back a few months ago.

Yeah Wait For Me isn't bad, but it wasn't his best. Some songs are very good and catchy and others feel like it's there to fill some gaps. But Shot In the Back Of The Head, Pale Horses and Mistake are masterpieces :wacky:

What's interesting is that he took a very mellow and emotional approach lately. He's such a humble guy and had so little expectations and yet just look at what he has become. It's amazing to have people like him in this world.

How long have you been into him?

well I've liked Dream About Me for nearly 2 years and a half but I really got into him only 8 or 9 months ago.

How about you?

Since Play's release back in 1999.

I wish he could tour a little more, especially overseas.

Oh wow, you're a die-hard fan then. Did you get to see him live yet?

Indeed, and no I haven't seen him live yet. It's kind of challenging to find a gig of his where the venue isn't a rave.
