iPod touch vs. iPhone

Featured Replies

I have an option of getting an iPhone or an iPod touch this weekend. I was looking for some REALLY USEFUL tips to persuade my parents to the better choice. So which is better? Which is worth it's money? I think a reply by tommorow or saturday would be good. Thank you all!

I have one and I'm telling you... if it broke or if I lose it, my life would end! It has EVERYTHING!

You can say to your parents:

If I get an iPhone, when you call me, I will hear it and pick it up.

If I get an iPod touch, my phone would ring but I wouldn't hear it because of the music :P :P

Good point! Would the service fees be worth it along with additional costs? How about GB wise? I know 8 is out of the question.

I got the 16 GB and thats pretty good. I would need 40 GB for my entire iTunes library  but you don't need to have ALL your iTunes library on there.

It's really good, the 16 GB and I've never run out of space :)

iphone!!!! but I'm waiting for the new one to come out :embarrassed: :D

iPhone, definitley. It's SO much cheaper to buy an iPhone instead of keep buying new ipods and phones. Seriously. It's great. :D

Wait for the new one though. I think they are usually released in July. :nice:

Iphone!

i have an ipod touch but if you have a choice between them i'd go for the phone.

You get the music, video, photos, internet and applications like on the ipod

but also a phone and a camera.

do eht!

So far it's the iPhone! :p Let's just hope I can persuade the parents, I checked one out here in Niagara and they were $800+ and I don't know if my parents love me THAT much:lol:

iPod Touch

Basically everything the phone is but cheaper and without the rubbish phone part

i'd plonk my vote with the iPhone

i've had an iPod Touch & i'm now using an iPhone. i prefer the iPhone cos used with an unlimited data plan, it's REALLY handy to look up stuff like if you need to find directions to someplace or need to check movie times when you're out or you're expecting an urgent email, etc. with the iPod Touch, you're pretty much at the mercy of wherever there might be a free WiFi hotspot to use the many cool & mostly data-dependent apps.

battery wise, the iPod Touch lasts longer, if only because it doesn't have the phone function (which is quite virtually the only thing key thing that distinguishes it from the iPhone). the iPhone fails there as batt runs out pretty fast if you're playing games or using the WiFi/3G a lot.

Depends in what you want/need. If you already have a nice phone and you don't need a new one the iPod would be a good idea.

Both options are good though.
