The CRC-USA last night was ridiculous. They were playing in a blizzard, FFS. FIFA should have suspended that game. They could not see the lines, people were slipping all over the place, and WHO PLAYS A WORLD CUP QUALIFIER MATCH IN THE MIDDLE OF A DAMN BLIZZARD?!

Not to sound partisan, but I've seen much worse in europe without complaint. The ball was rolling fine, and when they stopped it in the 50th minute the ref talked with both teams and it was clear that everyone wanted to finish.

Belgium have a very exciting young team at the minute, and should be expected to at least get to Brazil if not do quite well, but in the next few years there will be no limits for that team, especially if a few players continue developing at this rate (Lukaku in particular).

Japan wasted a second half penalty as they missed the chance to become the first team to qualify for the 2014 World Cup finals when they were beaten 2-1 by Jordan in Amman.

The Japanese dominated possession and created numerous chances but the home side secured a memorable win thanks to some resolute defending and efficient finishing.

After Japan went 2-0 down, Manchester United's Shinji Kagawa pulled a back in the 69th minute but experienced midfielder Yasuhito Endo saw his spot-kick turned around the post by Amer Sabbah.

Fifa has rejected a bid by Costa Rica to have their World Cup qualifier with USA replayed after going down 1-0 in a game played in heavy snow in Denver on Friday. Costa Rica lodged a complaint about the match but Fifa say the match stands.

As a result of the loss, Costa Rica are bottom of the final-round standings with just one point from two games.

Costa Rican FA president Eduardo Li said of the conditions: "It was terrible. While the match was being played, at the same time, machines and people came on to the field to clean the lines."

Costa Ricans will turn their backs as the fair game hymn is played in tonight's game in response to FIFA's resolution on last Friday's game.

France - Spain game has been intense!!! 0-0 still though.

I hope Mexico wins agains US, and that making us play on snow did not help them at all.

Fair play = BS

The protest was turned down because Costa Rica didn't say anything until after they had lost. And even then, in what way did the US have an unfair advantage? The MLS plays in the summer heat, and your squad includes players who compete in Sweden, Norway, England, and Denmark.
