Got a problem with my comment?

You always seem to notice my posts.

A bit obsessed?

Also, a bit unrelated but my father would love you for mentioning Schumacher.

Please don't get me wrong. It's just if someone idolises Chris Martin let them idolise Chris Martin. There's nothing wrong with idolising him.

I disagree strongly.

I wouldn't even mind if it was Gaga or someone even more outrageous, but I strongly disagree with that.

Chris Martin (IMO) seems the most hypocritical and false musician I've ever seen. I won't even bother to say why since the usual argument is "You don't know the man" but that's what I get from him.

Well said.:smug:

Without meaning to try and sound cool and in turn come across as incredibly clichéd, I don't think I have any idols at all. I'm aware of many of the people who I respect's many flaws. And when it comes to musicians and other people of similar moulds, in my eyes the production of art is no basis to idolise a person, in the same way that the inability to produce it should not be lambasted.

agreed. I look at idols more of in an influential and inspirational stand-point, so I suppose the word "idol" is taken extremely lightly. I admire Frank Zappa, but not THIS much

I'd say that John Lennon and Paul McCartney are the people that would be closest to being idols. And the reason for that is their huge influence they've had on my life and were the main reason for me wanting to learn how to play music and write songs. So without them I think I'd be different with my interests.

I think it's slightly more clichéd to have shitloads of idols, and I agree with the rest, these are just people, and there are none who I think are 'idols' or anything. Also, if I 'idolised' some singer from some band, my friends would probably think I'm super faeg, well kinda, they'd think it was *awkward silence*-worthy level of awkwardness. I'm 24 years old, I don't have fucking Jeff Buckley posters.
