I was talking to Dee on msn, when this guy sended me a link saying "Is this picture you?" so I clicked it, and it gave me this virus, which freezes my computer and then it goes back, and then it comes back again.

 

By clicking the link I gave it to everybody on my msn list :bigcry:

Your Avast Virus Protection will pop up, there you click on "Move to Virus chest"

It didn't get sent to me :surprised:

Avast came up to help, I hope this time it works..

change password

I uninstalled Windows Messenger right now, that's what Dee told me to do.

But it still pop up the Avast thing, so theres still a virus.

I've clicked every option to remove that virus, but it keeps popping up.

 

 

^kay, I'll try changing my password once i finish re-installing WM.

With some of those things you click on the link and they nab your login details somehow, that's how they log in to your account and send the link to everyone else, password change should fix it in that case

I changed my password but it sort of keeps happening.

I unistalled Windows Messenger, and it stopped.

 

So, It isn't in my computer, so that's why when I clicked for it to get removed, I got an error.

Bravo for me, I'm such a dumb fuck.

 

Anyways, I shall download messenger again, try to change my password again and see if it helps.

Your friend got "hacked" and that message got sent to everybody on his/her list and sadly you clicked on the link or a virus which has been doing the rounds since 2005 time.

 

Time to change your log-in address for MSN Messenger/Windows Live Messenger, try and save your contact list and open up a new account and import your contacts into your new account, and with your old account delete all your contacts before changing your password and leaving it dead.

It's "windows live messenger", "windows messenger" is another program ;)

 

(well okay it's a watered down version of MSN messenger used on Windows XP and if your still using it you should really upgrade to Live Messenger)

Yeah, I always use Live.

 

I just don't care for putting Live now :P

It sent me the pic thing from you and hahahaha like the dumbass i am i opened it and i was like OH SHIT

 

and i had Malware bytes run at the speed of lightning. I had 0 viruses so yeah :p
