Sherlock (TV Series)

Featured Replies

I'm in my mid 20s, as well as the majority of my friends, and Benedict looks at least 7 years older than us. So I'd say he definitely looks his age.

but then I'm a bit confused by the books though, in A Study In Scarlet you read that Sherlock is a student (well that's what thought it was and really did when I read it in Dutch) so that makes me think that in the books he is in his mid-20s not?

or am I totally wrong now?

Oh i always imagined them around the same age and the pictures from the books makes them look relatively the same age.

Yet in the tv show Sherlock just looks so young for some reason and watson just the grayness to his hair makes him look a lot older

Small tidbit from Mark Gatiss about the start to series 3.

The third series of the BBC's hit drama Sherlock will begin with an episode based on Arthur Conan Doyle's book The Adventure of the Empty House, the series' co-creator Mark Gatiss has revealed . . .

Gatiss also added that Watson's reaction to the return of his friend Holmes in season three would differ from that in the original book.

"I always found it a little unlikely that Dr Watson's only reaction was to faint for instance – as supposed to possibly a stream of terrible swear words," he said.

I hope John punches Sherlock in the face. Multiple times. :wacky:

even my mum was laughing and we are going to watch it again once (hopefully soon) so my little brother will understand it better

Sherlock Personality Quiz[/url]

I got Sherlock :wacky:

me too :awesome:

You are Sherlock Holmes. The smartest person in any room (unless your brother is there), you frequently drive people crazy with your rude tone, frighteningly meticulous eye for detail and rapid-fire conversation. Some find your brusque demeanor and total disregard for social norms off-putting and you might have a hard time making friends. But you’re shockingly loyal to the (very few) people you choose to associate with voluntarily and there’s definitely a heart buried somewhere under all that arrogance. Your friend is probably right about the solar system being important, though, so maybe you should look it up.

You are Mycroft Holmes. It’s possible you hold a minor position in the government. By which we mean, you probably run it. Organized, mysterious and well-connected, you’re a master of manipulation and surprisingly adept at kidnapping people. You’re actually the smartest person in your family, despite the fact that most people tend to pay more attention to your more dramatic sibling. You are the person in your social circle most likely to have a minion. (Or two.) And your diet is going just fine, thank you.

chillin'

John represent!

You are John Watson. Let’s be honest, pretty much everyone loves you. Warm, patient and personable, you’re willing to put up with a great deal (possibly too much?) from those you care about and you are intractably loyal. You’re a bit of a thrill seeker and frequently rush headlong into danger, especially if it’s to protect someone important to you. You have a stubborn streak and maybe a possible psychosomatic injury or two, but you’re definitely the person all your friends want on their side in a fight.

I got Mrs. Hudson. :nice:

You are Mrs. Hudson. Warm and loving, you’re everyone’s surrogate mother. Always there to make some tea, listen to someone’s problems, or answer the door when the cops arrive, you can pretty much handle anything. Your past is a little bit mysterious — what exactly happened with your ex, anyway? — and you may have seen some wilder days in your youth, but you’ve (mostly) mellowed now. You might want to be careful of those “herbal soothers” though.

I got Sherlock as well. c:

And A SCANDAL IN BELGRAVIA TOMORROW AT 9PM EST PBS okay got that good

I seriously can't wait for the Buckingham Palace scene, even though apparently they chopped off one of the funniest lines in the show. Benedict, almost naked (is it sad that I've seen him naked?) in hd. SQUEE.

Got Mycroft as well :|

Me too :stunned:

oh I'm not alone :cheesy:

actually I'm happier being him than Sherlock, dunno why but I am

Ah Scandal never gets old... Probably my favorite episode yet. That will change when series 3 comes around. :D
