Wedding Bells = Darkness On The Edge Of Town ?

Really?

I don't think they sound similar at all.

A little at the chorus. But I will listen to it more.

i suppose there is a really, really, really, really small similarity at one point. but certainly not enough to warrant an equal sign. :P

I can´t hear the resemblance.

Wow, that relieves me to hear that. :P

Didn't people also draw Springsteen similarities with Spanish Rain?

What d'you mean ?

hardly any similarity apart from towards the end the piano plays a similar sequence to chris's vocals, "i always loved you and i always will"

What d'you mean ?

@Carol_Jade: People thought it sounded like 'Dancing in the Dark'. Myself included.

I'm gonna check this out, thanks. :)

Oh, funny thing!

I was watching MTV and that song came up, and I wrote it down to say that it sounded like Spanish Rain

But I never did, so here it is lulz.

I'm not crazy then ? :freak:

Many Coldplay songs sound similar to songs from other artists/bands... in fact, a lot of bands have musical and lyrical references, even Radiohead! lol but well, let's say that Coldplay references are pretty obvious sometimes. Not a bad thing for me though :)

  • Author

Yeah I know that's not the first, there was with Joe Satriani and others bands.

Sometimes it's really obvious so I don't what to think. :\

One of the most obvious from the VLV album was Lovers in Japan versus Neighbouhood #3 by Arcade Fire and so many others, there are references from Radiohead lyrics too and so on. But oh well. We love them just like that! :)

Yeah true, Chris knows how to recreate a song from another song. Even if there are similitaries. :P

Just like Talk and Clocks (hope I'm not wrong), the main melody existed already.

We love them anyway. :)
