I can criticise religion because it impacts on my life. To say that its off limits its a joke, If you want to live like that go live in Middle East where if you say you do not believe the punishment is death. I dont care if people believe in god but keep it to yourselves and out of education, science & medicine because as my favourite quote says, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

 

Also, where was religion before 30,000 years? God just sat back and waited for humans to naturally, randomly evolve (random in the sense of mutation and genetic variation)? Why didnt he just create man whole? surely he could if he created life? Its funny how the religious cherry pick what they believe.

that's completely untrue, where did you bring that from? who said we can't criticise religion? are you kidding? we've lived trough 25 years of civil war and been on the verge of another war for the past 5 years both situations basically fueled by religion and you're saying we never dare to criticise it? Religion impacts on our lives here in the middle east more than it does anywhere else in the world because it right there everywhere you look, the seats in the parliament are divided by religion, the government, politics....and we have criticized it, we have protested against letting it interfere in every aspect of our lives, just last year they passed the law that they shouldn't put religion on ID cards and people are free to be atheists, muslims, christians we don't have relegion police..."the punishment is death?":laugh3::laugh3: in the Kingdom of Saudi maybe:laugh3:
