I didn't hear the whole song yet but heard the teaser. I'm quite deaf but I think that there was G chord guite a lot. I suck at doing it by ear so I'm open to any help ^^

Chris said it's in G and there is a lot of G being played and like Gsus4 and stuff, I think, but I'm rubbish with this sort of thing... :P I've asked a guitarist friend for help, we'll see if he can come up with something!

The intro and verse 1 is all based around G and goes like:

 

G - G/E - G/ F#

The G/E and G/ F# are really quick at the end of each line.

 

The main chorus bit that goes "Those Christmas Lights" is:

 

G - Cadd9 - G - Cadd9 - Em

 

This is pretty much repeated to the end I think. I know I've missed a big bit out of the middle of the song (like the bridge and verse 2) but I'm in a rush and will complete it later. What's there is the basics of it though.

You should ask that piano genius with the YouTube account on here to work it up on piano since he can do all that stuff by ear. He could probably have it ready by tomorrow, seriously, if you ask him nicely.

Well probably I'm a retard and everybody already has it but the begining should sound (I think) like that:

 

LH just DG and the RH single notes : G, F#, BDC

then the bass line is G, G, D F# and the right hand plays G,A,B, and lower B and you play D note with all of them, it's like this:

LH---RH

G-----DG

-------DA

-------DB

G-----DB (lower)

D

F#

 

And then you play E then F# on the bass and G,E,G,D,B,A,G,D with right hand

 

I got a big exam tomorrow so that's why I did only that and I apologise if you don't understand it :shame:

It's kind of too fast to be a tutorial :thinking: I couldn't quite follow along :shrug: Anyway, cool that you could figure it out. I could pick out the melody but I always have trouble with the basenotes and stuff...
