:stunned::stunned::stunned:

I would say it's almost ridiculous, but :stunned:

It's wayy too much :\

I always wondered what kind of people could afford or would stay in places like that.... and now coldplay's there

I told you Liz, that place IS the definition of fancy schmanciness!

Holy shit! ^^ as always Ab is correct! :smug: your so right....ive never seen a place like that!

wanna hear them say glass of water at the Wembley show........... i'm so excited..

i'm waiting for glass of water too! i've been spamming the oracle and everything :P. i can't believe they haven't added it to the setlist yet...it was MADE to be played live!

I think we should send them a helpful list of which old and/or new songs we'd like to hear live (and at which concerts) :P

Haha, it would be great if they would listen to that..

That would be awesome:D They really should do that!

Let's spam them with that request, Notlost:D

*is tempted to create a petition*

OR, we should get someone lucky enough to get into a soundcheck party to request all of the songs we want to hear so that the boys are like "oh yeah, we should play those!" :surprised: Everything's Not Lost Everything's Not Lost please please :P

Break your legs & arms for it & they WILL play your fave oldies! :P

The reason I said this because it reminds me of this R#42'S blog entry:

It's another soundcheck party today and there's a bit of work to be done on the Prospekt's songs before the band arrive, so myself and soundman Dan Green head in early. When the soundcheck gets going, Chris notes that someone in the gathered crowd has two broken legs. It seems the least they can do to play a song for them, so Chris asks what they'd like to hear. The request comes up that they'd like "Parachutes". There has to be a gag somewhere in someone with two broken legs wanting a parachute, but I might have to get back to you on that. After Life In Technicolour II and Prospekt's March, Chris gets out the acoustic and gives Parachutes a go. I can't imagine when the last time he played it would be, but I'll wager it's been a few years at least. Wonder if it'll ever get played again?

:uhoh: Neither was I... *looks down at broken arms and legs* I said it was worth it!

:P

also, at the today show, chris took a little boy with a broken arm up on stage and he got to hang with the band for a few minutes. i think it ended up being some NBC head-honcho's son, but still, the lesson is that CHRIS PAYS ATTENTION TO PLASTER, PEOPLE.

if i had known i was going to get front row in NJ, i would have broken my arm :P. now that i have GA in CT, i think i'll have to have a tragic accident :sneaky:

CHELSEA- wtf, when did you get GA?! So jealous *glares at my parents* (it's a long story)

*ahem* Anywayyyyy... we've now discovered the secret to meeting Coldplay/getting them to play songs! *runs out and buys tons of plaster* I wonder how they'd react to a fully-body cast? Although the picture of me and Chris would be pretty disappointing if I were unrecognizable due to plaster

haha, it's a bit of a long story how i got GA...i originally got the regular seats like i told you in the presale, but the next day i saw all the other coldplayers getting GA unexpectedly (i didn't even think there would be GA), i made an impulsive decision and now am going GA, leaving my mom and brother in the semi-crappy seats :P :uhoh:. it's going to be a logistical nightmare, but everything is in my life :P. all i know is that i couldn't pass up the chance to see coldplay up close again, and my mom said the decision was "up to me." so now i just have to get rid of an extra seated ticket :dozey:.

[/off topic]

yes, i swear chris is drawn to plaster. i wish i knew someone that could make a cast, so i could get one on that night with no previous injury and paint the viva logo on it :P

Yeahhh, the next day I also saw every Coldplayer getting GA for my concert, but my parents forbade me from buying new tickets and selling the old ones (mostly because my mom doesn't like GA). So I'm stuck with my original ones. :disappointed: But CONGRATS!

And yeah, I wonder if a very brightly colored ace bandage would work? With "play Everything's Not Lost" painted in ultra-neon? :P

That blog was awesome and that hotel looks insane, just the seating alone is like :bomb: :D!!!

I'm (perhaps optimistically) hoping the stadium gigs will be more greatest hits rather than Viva La Vida-centric. Bring back the older big sing-a-longs like ENL, Shiver, Trouble as well as the newer ones. And also classics like Don't Panic, Warning Sign, AROBTTH, Daylight (a long shot but oh so good live).

Yes, I totally agree with you, I don't want them to just cycle through Viva and sprinkle some hits in along the way. The thing is, the way they talk about it in interviews, the way Roadie 42#'s blogs mention Wembley here and there, they know its gonna be epic!! They are gonna have to pull out a lot more classics and golden oldies.

Coldplay win Juno award

March 29, 2009 9:49 am

Viva named Album of the Year

Good morning. Last night, Coldplay won the International Album of the Year award at Canada's JUNO Awards. The band won the same gong - the only international category at the JUNOs - for X&Y in 2006. Coldplay weren't able to be at the awards (as they were battling the weather in Abu Dhabi), but they sent an aceptance message which will be part of the TV broadcast of the show tonight on CTV at 9pm.

Anchorman

I am ecstatic to hear that they've been practising AROBTTH and Warning Sign :o :o :o :o :o

Roadie #42 - Blog #77

In Hong Kong, they had a run through Rush Of Blood. Now there's a tune I haven't heard for a while. I remember JB's solo on that being a nightly highlight of the show for me way back when. I can see it floating across the summer air rather nicely on the outdoor shows later in the year. They've also recently given Swallowed In The Sea, Warning Sign and several others a go - not to mention a few brand new songs they've been kicking about.

R#42

Oooh, yay! *crosses fingers* I'd love to hear those live!

AROBTTH and Warning Sign? :o Oh I do hope they play them at Wembers :bomb:

Me too! :D
