My best discovery goes to The National.

I've discovered a lot of great groups, though, and several of them have already been mentioned in this thread. :nice:

I was meant to see them live a month ago, but I had to sacrifice the gig for the Coldplaying boat trip!;)

I didn't know you were at the boat trip and all. Ha, I missed talking to so many people

That's dang awful about missing Two Door though. They're wicked live and the crowds get proper insane (I saw them at Reading and a circle pit broke out and the whole tent went mental).

Deaf Havana & Lower Than Atlantis, two British post-hardcore groups.

Definitely Hurts. plus they are so good live!

Also, The National and Arcade Fire.

I have found almost all of the bands I'm really into this year.

I refound The Killers and Oasis, and "discovered" The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Travis, and many others.

I saw Deaf Havana this year- I met them as well. They were pretty bad live, but they were nice guys :)

Anette, I keep thinking you're Coldplay Junior and being like "omg Nikki".

But then I realize it's you and I'm all like "omg Uhnet".

True story.

Kings of Convenience, by far. That being said, I've discovered a lot of bands this year, including Keane, The Decemberists, Radiohead, Lifehouse, Oren Lavie, Jon Hopkins, Kaki King, Special Patrol, Something Corporate (was that REALLY this year?!?)... plus I've rediscovered a lot of artists too (most notably The Beatles). Overall, an awesome year in music... bring on 2011! XD

Never even heard a single song by Arcade Fire until this year and now i have all their albums.
