if you say that to someone when you are talking to them on msn (or anything else over internet use) do you think it's rude? :huh: i say that when i think something is funny. i don't necissarily laugh out loud. but she thinks it's kinder when you say "LOL" instead of "lol" :/

she says that when you say "lol" she thinks you mean that you don't care and you're saying "pfft whatever". like you don't care.

gah it doesn't make sense to me. now she thinks i don't like her.

and she never had a problem with it before...

:lol: i'm still confused about most of the abreviated terms on computers!!

I'm still living in the stone age!! :dozey:

i hate people who write lol and thats ALL THEY WRITE AS EACH RESPONSE!

ITS LIKE TALKING TO A LAUGHING WALL!!!!!!!!

my friend and I have a system that we use...

hehe - a small chuckle

lol - a small outburst

LoL- haha!

LOL- Laughing

ROFL - Large Laugh

LMAO - Huge Laugh

LMAO!!!!!! - Uncontrollable laughter

you can usually tell how funny i think something is by how many "haha's" i have.

haha = kinda funny

hahaha = funny

hahahahahahahahahahahaha = funnier than the lord jesus himself. if he were a comedian or something.

:lol: now this thread is funny.

and if you talk to people while you see them on webcam, they are obliged to actually laugh each time they write lol

i do that ALOT!!! esp when im posting one of the smilies!!! :lol: :P

I find it hilarious when someones on cam-2-cam and says lol on IM, and their facial expression doesn't change :lol: :lol:

lol sucks

and so does lmao

yes lol sucks

i hate it when i talk to ppl and they say that to blow me off

its fine if its like lol and another sentence

but not just lol

LOL is fine if they do another sentence as well

whatever :snore:

I really don't think it matters if its capitalized or not. but if its all you say it loses meaning. Tell this person that when you say "lol" its just as good as"LOL" but you wanted to respond faster because it was funny so you decided to do it quickly without using the shift key. :D
