January 1, 201115 yr OK, so last night I was at my best friends Dad's gig. All his family were there. A guy walks in who his Mum had an affair with ten years ago (the family are over this and everything has been forgiven but he keeps turning up and being a nuisance). It was my job to keep him away from my friends family, which basically meant staring him out from the other side of the bar and following him for about half an hour, then going up to him and asking him to leave (which surprisingly worked). Anyway, after the gig my friends Dad came up to me and thanked me for getting rid of him. Then later I saw his Mum and she thanked me too for keeping him away. She gave me a New Years kiss on the cheek which was nothing unusual, but then she lent in closed her eyes and went to make out with me. I pulled away and said something like 'no no no no, you're my best friends Mum'. Later on the dance floor when everyone was cheering New Year I asked her if she was OK and what that was all about. She just said 'Oh sorry, it's OK though'. I saw her this morning since I stopped over at the house and she acted normal, like she would have done had nothing happened. She is like a second Mother to me and I see her all the time and talk to her, and she helps me whenever there is something I can't talk to my parents about. She is an attractive woman in her 40's but looks like she is in her mid 30's. I've never thought about her in a sexual way and I never will, but this has really fucked with my head. I don't know whether to say something to my friend or not. I'm leaning towards saying nothing because this could potentially fuck things up for their family since she has a history. I think I just need to talk about it somewhere so I'll make this thread. Man my head is fucked.
January 1, 201115 yr Gosh. :dizzy: What do you think will happen if your friend found out? But at the same time, what would happen if you tell her? My advice to you is to weigh the answers between those questions and make your decision from there. /not helping In the mean time, eat chocolates.
January 1, 201115 yr You don't think she'll acknowledge it? She may have had a drink or two...
January 1, 201115 yr Author My friend is a guy. I don't know, he was pissed off with his Mum the other month since I think that guy had texted her so she must have given him her new number. And that was like a huge thing since they've moved house and things to get away from him in the past. So this would be a huge thing too.
January 1, 201115 yr Author You don't think she'll acknowledge it? She may have had a drink or two... She didn't acknowledge it this morning. And yes, she was drunk.
January 1, 201115 yr Pretend it didn't happen. If she tries again then there is a problem but as of now it sounds like just a drunken mistake.
January 1, 201115 yr Pretend it didn't happen. If she tries again then there is a problem but as of now it sounds like just a drunken mistake. What an incredibly odd situation. Do this. You did the right thing, she acted inappropriately, probably because she was inebriated (I love that word, for some reason. It's fun to say. :P). Just don't think about it and try not to tell anyone unless she does it again.
January 1, 201115 yr Just do her and get it over with. blackmail can be fun, `eh? on a serious note/ sounds as if she would whore up to anyone- I doubt it would be such a surprise to her family.

Thank you. on a serious note/ sounds as if she would whore up to anyone- I doubt it would be such a surprise to her family. Haha, yeah she must not have any standards if she went for me :p

I've never thought about her in a sexual way and I never will, but this has really fucked with my head. Do you kind of like her [even though you'd never do anything with her] or are you just worried about your friend/ his family? I'd pretend it didn't happen, it isn't gonna help anyone if you say something. Edit Sorry I missed your last post.

I just hope she hasn't done this often in the past.
January 1, 201115 yr Author Have you asked your inner self if it's lying ?:inquisitive: I have honestly never thought of her in a sexual way. I'd say if I had, I wouldn't be ashamed.

January 1, 201115 yr Well she is an attractive woman, but it's something I would never consider. I just hope she hasn't done this often in the past. That's what's worrying about it but there isn't much you can do. I've got a really awkward situation with one of my best friends because I slept with her boyfriend before she met him. I still fancied the guy when they first got together but I couldn't imagine being in a serious relationship with him because I was convinced he wouldn't be faithful [he even told me that he thought it was ok to cheat on your partner in certain situations]. I met her trough him and we became very good friends. She started to discuss her relationship problems with me but I always thought it would be wrong to tell her what happened between her boyfriend and me. I'm still not sure if I did the right thing.

Tricky situation. Would you say your previous encounter with him affects the advice you give her?
January 1, 201115 yr Tricky situation. Would you say your previous encounter with him affects the advice you give her? Yeah because we were very close friends. It wasn't a drunken one night stand, I slept with him several times. Even if I didn't tell her what happened between us, she'd find it very strange that we talked about those kind of things. She told me what he was like when they first met and how happy she was at the time and he was exactly the same with me. I don't think it would be fair on him to tell her about it though.
January 1, 201115 yr Greg, I've now got that song Staceys Mom stuck in my head, I'm holding you responsible.
