You say she hasn't done it to intentionally piss people off, but that's exactly what she's done. You keep telling me to try, and I have tried. I've tried damn hard, and that's really all you can (and should) expect from anyone. Yeah, there are times when I can be sensitive; O WOE IS ME. I've worked on that, and I've gotten a lot better at it. Yeah, there's definitely room for improvement, but you can't tell me that I don't try, because you'd be wrong.

 

I'm not asking to change her attitude about how she views Muse. I'm merely asking that she not do it so much and find not so harsh ways to do it. It can't be that hard.

This is all so fucking ridiculous. I think what i said earlier in this thread was misunderstood , i'm not saying radiohead is the only band in the whole wide world with some pretentious fans. I think someone said all radiohead fans are pretentious which is not true because not all of them are pretentious elitist fucks but some of them are ( i know a few) . I'm pretty sure there are pretentious fans for any band that exist, i was only replying to the comment where rh fans were mentioned. All clear? Good.

 

Now what is it with you people mocking other bands that you don't like? Sure, you're entitled to your opinion and you're free to voice it but saying it all the fucking time it's just annoying. We got it the first time you said it and there's no need to repeat yourself over and over. I personally like muse and i don't expect the whole board to love them because this isn't a muse board after all , i dont even mind some muse bashing because i don't take it seriouly but when i see the same thing over and over then it gets annoying and it bothers me, it's just not funny anymore.

 

Now before i get a smart ass reply, answer me this people. How is that any different than the times Mark used to mock and bash Lady Gaga/Justin Bieber? Sure he's free to express his opinion but he went on many threads just to say something against those artists and i know most of you loungers were fed up with that and why? Because we got him the first time he said that, there was no need for him to repeat it all over the forum. I think the same applies here and not only when it comes to muse but to any band BUT if i wanted to use the logic expressed earlier in this thread then this isn't a muse forum so i'm free to say whatever the fuck i want about bands i dislike and there's nothing you can do about it but ignore it, right?

 

I dislike Sufjan's music for example , there's nothing personal but it's just that his music doesn't do anything for me and maybe i got annoyed when people told me my music taste was shit because i didn't like him so i mocked him for 2 or 3 days but people took it to heart here so i stopped. I only joke about it with Rudy and Kels only because they're my friends and they know i'm joking after all and they don't take it to heart but i stopped saying anything else in front of others who love that artist just for respect for them and i'd expect the same in return, i think that's called common courtesy.

 

And violet dear, i know you're a sensitive girl and i understand perfectly what you said about loving a band so much because their music was there for you when you were really depressed and you feel like they saved your life , i think someone else mentioned the same but about pearl jam too . I feel the exact same way about radiohead's music so i know what you mean. I even decided to learn to play the guitar just so i could play radiohead songs years ago and they'll always be special to me and yes, i get annoyed when people talk shit about them but i learned to be tolerant but sometimes enough is enough. Same goes to other bands i love like muse or coldplay cos some of their songs helped during hard times or bring back good memories and even though i might not like their lastest albums i still won't go and talk shit about them just because i started listening to some other bands and besides, i know many people like them here. It's all about respect in the end.
