So, I'm considering RADIOHEAD

I've heard several times that he hates Creep now so I think it's true.

Mattb fugly? And what does Ivet think of Thom Yorke?

"Ever since then, the band have been trying to break free of being bound by Creep. They hate the song, yet do feel obliged to play it "we only play this because it is still a good song". They wrote My Iron Lung purposely about their hatred of the song, but it was not until the recent hit of Paranoid Android that the band start to see some mass recognition of other songs. However, they band will always be burdened with Creep."

^ True, but that article is very old (calling Paranoid Android "recent hit"). They may have felt "obliged" to play it back then, but what about 10+ years later? Do they still feel obliged or do they screw it we're really not playing it anymore?

OK, IVET. You have made it very clear for quite some time now (since way before the inception of this thread) that you think Muse are the worst piece of garbage on the face of the earth and Matt Bellamy looks like a naked mole rat. I got it the first time. There's a difference between stating an opinion and ramming it into the ground every possible chance you get. Let it go already. Jesus Christ.

Excuse you, I can go on about it as long as i fucking wish too. you can just choose to ignore it.

thanks.

he's a fucking sexy piece of ass for a man of his age

and an A+ quality singer.

You can go on about it as much as you wish, but going LOL MUSE isn't anywhere near as funny as you think it is.

I think they deep down sort of still enjoy the song. I mean the band aren't always obliged to play the song and have other hits to play instead. I think they do enjoy it, but only the few times they play it. I mean in a given tour as of late they'll play it like 3 times max.

Matt Bellamy is quite ugly (in my heterosexual male opinion) but he still makes great music.

Yeah I think it's dumb to like music because it's popular or because the singer is cute (although I'd argue that most GaGa fans just legitimately like her music, instead of liking it because others like it) but really, life is to short to care about those people. I'm glad they get happiness out of the music they listen to, whatever their reasoning.

I like Lady Gaga because of her music. . . I honestly don't think she's very pretty.

And on Coldplaying her music is very unpopular, yet I still call myself a fan.

So I agree with you. :nice:

Yeah, it is a little bit, but not that much, and definitely not to the extent of Matt's, particularly if you were to compare them in terms of debut albums. Matt's voice on "Showbiz" is quite raw. (And, to be fair, a bit unrefined. But that's OK, given that Matt hadn't quite turned 21 during the time the album was recorded.)

Yes, his voice was very powerful even in the early albums. . . although though in the Newton Abbot Demo his voice is quieter, I think that was a mixing/recording issue.

You do bring up the age issue, which is indeed a factor, particularly in pop music. In the classical world, they take very good care of themselves and sing in a technically correct way, so it's not as big of a deal, and they can go for a pretty good while before their voices start to give out. With pop music, it's different, particularly if you sing in the way Thom and Matt do.

That was something I really was happy about when "The Resistance" came out. The richness of Matt's tone gets better with each album, and as long as he takes care of himself, he ought to be able to go for a good while. (He once stated that the beverage he treats himself to after a concert is red wine because it's the only alcohol that doesn't dry his throat out. That sounds fair enough.) He has a smaller-than-normal larynx, so I'm not sure how that will affect him in the future.

Yeah, I wonder how both singers would hold up singing Italian opera or something? That would be something worth seeing. :wacky:

I don't think the small larynx would hurt him at all, I mean, it's just like having small fingers. Don't quote me though, I'm not a doctor.

Make fun of Radiohead instead, 80% of Coldplayers will love you unconditionally :(

Radiohead fans are so pretentious, elitists, and so mean :(

I wanna cry so much.

NO, EXCUSE YOU. I've been more than patient enough with you on this topic. I've been on this forum for almost two years now, and you've done this the entire time. I didn't mind you at first, because I understand that Muse is not to everyone's tastes. That's not a problem. I do have a problem, however, with your constant belittling of them just because you feel like it. People on here will have a conversation somewhere about them, and you'll interject with your signature "MUSE SUQS DOG DIQ" or some other overly snide comment. There's a difference between really not liking a band and slandering/taunting them like it's some sort of game. I despise Joanna Newsom, but do I talk about it all the time? No. If it somehow comes up in conversation, sure, I'll talk about how I think her singing style is weird, but I wouldn't dare say something along the lines of "JOANNA SUQS DOG DIQ." Why? Because it's rude, and there are much nicer ways to tell people that an artist isn't your cup of tea. In fact, really, this whole thing is a combination of A. you talking about it over and over and over, and B. the way in which you put it. I wouldn't mind it so much if it weren't for those things. Yes, you have the right to express your opinion, but so do I, and I feel that we (meaning the Muse community as a whole) shouldn't have to put up with the sheer amount of lashing that you do to them. Alexa doesn't like Muse, either, but she at least shows enough respect to us who do to say something, then leave it alone. Just the other day, she showed up in the Muse thread and said something. Christina was like, "Alexa in the Muse thread? That's a surprise." She replied, "I still don't like Muse." Which is OK, because it came up in normal conversation, and she didn't say anything overly offensive. The way you talk about them in that way comes across (at least, to me) as you judging those who do like them and telling them their music taste is awful. Is that what you're meaning? No, but that's how it seems, and that's why people like me get offended at it all. I normally don't get this worked up over stuff like this, but you've crossed the line. In a way, you've shown a great deal of disrespect to an entire fan community, and I'm not having it. I don't act this way towards any of your favorite artists. Don't do it to mine.

/rant.

There's one good thing that came out of ivet's tardliness - I remember why I associated her with being annoying now!

Sorry, I guess.

Sorry that you had to waste your time writing that freaking long paragraph because if you can't stand what I'm doing that's your issue and you're the only person that has ever actually said anything about it.

First of all, this isn't a muse messageboard and i'm not actually going on the muse forum and being all mean. Since this isn't the muse forum, the fans are just going to have to deal with my disrespectful, bitchy ass.

I really don't give a fuck if you've had it or not, that's not gonna make me stop

And I'll have you know, I haven't said anything about Muse suqin dog diq in a long time!

First, don't go around saying you're sorry when you're not. That's bullshit. If you actually had any ounce of remorse, you would take into consideration even a little of what I've said to you and at least ponder over it. You have honestly told me, however, that you have no intention of doing that because you don't care, so obviously, it has no meaning.

I don't think you understand what I just said. This isn't about me. Yeah, I'm the only person that's said anything about it, but that's because I'm the only person that has had enough balls to do it.

...The Muse forum? HOW THE FUCK DOES THE MUSE FORUM HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS? That's far from the point, Ivet. It doesn't matter where you do it at all. The point still stands that you shouldn't do stuff like that out of courtesy for those that actually give a damn. Yeah, we can deal with people dissing our band, but we can only take so much. Do you understand how old this shit gets? We get tired of hearing it after a while. Yeah, I said we, because whether you choose to believe it or not, it's not just me.

About the suqing thing. That was merely an example. Apparently, you didn't catch that, either.

I'm going to end this by trying a different approach: Ivet. Please stop. PLEASE. Other than this nonsense, I honestly have no problem with you. I find your music taste impeccable, as despite your hatred for Muse, we have a lot of the same artists in common. You got me into Sufjan, for crying out loud. I'm not doing this to purposely cause drama. I'm just trying to get you to understand exactly what you're doing.

If you still do not understand above post, let me put it out of Muse context: YOU ARE BEING ANNOYING, STOP BEING ANNOYING

lol can't stop won't stop

and i don't do it enough to deal with people getting an attitude about it

s0o0o0o0o0o

and i seriously haven't said anything about muse in a long time and i don't go on forever about it

let's see i've said....

muse fucking sucks

muse suqs dog diq

matt looks like a rat

and

lol muse

okay.

Well, Violet, being a Muse fan, I am very well placed myself when Ivet disses Muse. Yes, it can be annoying, but as she said, just ignore it. I try not to pay attention to it and my girlfriend still says some bad remark about my shirt when I wear a Muse one. However I know she doesn't do it to piss me off or to annoy me to the point of tears. She just likes to do that and well, I learned to ignore it. You shouldn't let it affect you. It's nothing personal.

bitch i haven't said anything to you in a long time either

and i haven't made you cry? :(

damn it,

gotta step up my muse H8N game

bitch I wore my shirt at your house this winter and you were all IEW and tried to get your brothers in it  but I ignored you and SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. you stopped dissing Muse halfway through the day :wacky:

no woman, no cryyyy

The first word of your reply is a "lol." You really do think it's a game. You didn't take a damn thing I said seriously. Really, Ivet, it's not funny.

"and i seriously haven't said anything about muse in a long time..." Your idea of a long time must be highly misconstrued. Even if two or three days did count as "a long time," that's beyond the point.

Yeah, about the dog diq comment. I actually find that one to be incredibly offensive due to what it entails. There's no excuse to say that about anyone or anything. No, I haven't said anything about it until now, because I tried my best to keep an open mind and be patient. Everyone has the right to free speech, but that doesn't give you the right to abuse that privilege and use it in a way that hurts other people.

Well, Violet, being a Muse fan, I am very well placed myself when Ivet disses Muse.

You don't count though to be fair :P

2 or 3 days? k now you're being dramatic.
