February 6, 201115 yr I'd like to see something really different - just as VLV (song) was when it came out! "Coldplay don't do strings!" "Well they do now, and its amazing!" I'd like to see some sort of dabble with rock-opera, kind of like Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Chris has the voice to pull it off, and Will & co are more than capable of harmonising in the chorus.
February 6, 201115 yr oh, hey... they should play some jazz songs. teeheee If it's not jazz, I won't like it! :laugh3::dozey:
February 6, 201115 yr Comparing with other bands maybe I would like to see them with the southern/indie/country rock of bands like Kings of leon & Band of horses, the darkness of Interpol, the alternative rock of Death cab for cutie, the power of British sea power, the intimate of The national, and the acoustic of a solist artist like Ryan adams for example... Maybe a blend of all these bands, do you know them? What do you think about? I think that it would be awesome!
February 6, 201115 yr Next album they should really go into electropop , maybe electrorock ? A song featuring ke$ha would be awesome :p I'm joking btw :D
February 6, 201115 yr a banjo more guitarsolo more bass more drum more piano let them listen to dEUs, Customs, Sigur Ros, Mumford & Sons, Editors, Interpol, Snow Patrol,... and then they have to make a mix of it and it'll be fucking awesome
February 6, 201115 yr A song featuring ke$ha would be awesome :p I'm joking btw :D Oh god, thank you for you ware joking. For a moment my face was like: :stunned::worried2:
February 6, 201115 yr I'd love a collab with Green Day or Phoenix, especially Green Day. Maybe Mumford and Sons or The Killers. I'd also love a Coldplay rock opera. ROCK OPERA! It would actually be kinda cool to hear a Coldplay take on pyschedelic rock or grunge.
February 6, 201115 yr Do you peiple really believe they can do rock opera ? I mean idk , I don't think Chris voice would suit that type of music tbh. His voice is just so sweet , kinda high pitched idk . It would be weird to listen to them like that  I'm imagining "every teardrop is a waterfall" a very acustic and sincere type of song. Taylor swift should feature on it :p "every teardrop is a waterfall" featuring Taylor swift & Lady Antelbellum  ok I'm done with jokes lool :p
February 8, 201115 yr I have always hoped that they would have a few songs produced by Trent Reznor (NIN, composer of the Social Network soundtrack) Having had the pleasure of seeing them live a bunch of times, I think they need another live album. Their songs take on a completely different energy when heard live.
February 11, 201115 yr I'd like to see them try a more folky sound or like a mix of Phoenix/Maps and Atlases. It would certainly be interesting to hear! Maybe more of off-tone stuff, rather than a giant melody. Sing-A-Long stuff would be great too. Whatever they do, I'm sure it will be a whole lot different then what they have already wrote. Or maybe they'll surprise us by going back to stuff like Parachutes.
February 11, 201115 yr Some kind of discrete tunes with Rock fusion.. don't know how that would sound! They should keep sticking with acoustic songs and it's simply awesome to hear Chris on piano. :)
