What do you think the (possible) acronym MTM means? (SOLVED! 22nd June 2011)

Featured Replies

i mentioned this earlier, too. the wording makes it sound like it's referring to a song or something, not a guitar.

it wouldn't really make sense for him to use "for" if he was talking about the guitar. he would have used something like, "on MTM" instead.

he also might have said, "on his MTM" or "on the MTM" if that was the case.

plus, i took "lead" to mean a riff or something, which would make sense if R42 was talking about a song.

yeah, I thought so!

I had a feeling it could be some kind of intro to a song, or even the album.

We will see... :)

yes.. for me it also doesnt make sense.. it seems that he is not talking about a guitar at all but the fact is that there exist MTM guitars..

actually, now that i think about it, "for" would make sense if it was something that was being physically done to the guitar or whatever. but he still probably would have used "his/the MTM" and like i said before, i just figured that the "epic lead" bit meant R42 was talking about a riff anyway. :P

can´t wait to find out what it actually is!

In about a year's time someone will probably bump this thread and we will all laugh at our speculations and the things we have said :laugh3:

I need the album as soon as possible!!

^ just be patient and don't worry

Martin the Magnificent?Marry the Mole?

Mysterious Time Machine?

My Terrible Mistake?

Murderous Teardrop Minions?

Michael Thought Maybe?

Monkeys Terrorize Morrocco?

Mental Theatre Melding?

That was the first thing that popped into my head! :P

Maybe MTM = Minnie the Moocher and the entire album is devoted to swing/big band era music! haha

I was thinking right now about this title and I just see that anybody else has already posted exactly the three same words! Coldplay fans's brains works in the same way hahaha!

I don't know if someone has brought this up yet.

But back before Viva was out there was a radio show I wanna say the one where Chris and Simon were hosting while Zane Lowe was off?

Anyways he played a bit of Mining on the Moon.

yeahhhh, and apparently Will had said that it "sounded like Sunnnnday Bloody Sunday" :P

although Chris said that it was supposed to be from The Fall of Man... but, you know, he's Chris. :P

I believe that MTM means Midwoofer-tweeter-midwoofer. This is a type of loudspeaker configuration. I believe is this. I believe it makes sense.

I don't belive that they would shorten some name's music in R42.

You guys could search about this too :wink3:

just stopping by to suggest the thread opener to change the title if any guess is finally right and point the page where it is.

:)

MTM= Minnie the Moocher

I don't know how many times I have to say MTM stands for the guitar called Moog The Moog that Jonny bought in New York!

Look at this guitar:

Now look at the one Jonny's playing:

Same guitar, different color.

Sorry to break the speculation but it's a guitar not a song.

I know, but oh, I like speculating about ridiculous song titles  like: "My Two Muffins" :wacky: :laugh3:

But it says in the blog, HIS EPIC LEAD ON MTM. It's the only logical choice to assume that it's a song!!!

This is the thing I don't like about Coldplay is that they make everything super confusing! :bigcry:

^ I know!! So therefore everything they say can be interpreted 300000000 different ways and it's reallly annoying 'cuz then everyone's got their own opinion about it!! Then everyone here starts to argue, etc...

I think it might have just been a poor use of words but I guess we won't know until the album's out!

^^ :disappointed: :bigcry:
