Bullying Victim Bodyslams Bully

Featured Replies

I saw someone posted that on atease.

good for that kid getting picked on for body slamming him on the ground. Bully's need to be seriously be put in their place.

Of course you know the parents of that bully is going to sue

They should both receive equal punishment, if anything. Self-defense is not a crime, and the kid was only defending himself. If teachers can't do their job right, then the kid deserves the right to defend himself from harm, and in this case, bodyslamming the fuck out of the attacker was the best option. Good for him.

^yeah exactly.

at least now you know that that bully will never fuck around with that kid again

I hate how the hot girls just walk by without doing anything. A hot aussie girl who stands up to bullies :dazzled:

 when he said that I was thinking the same thing

Epic.

The fact that the victim (Casey) got a longer suspension than the scrawny kid really pisses me off. That scrawny one only got four days off or something...

This was a case in Australia and here teachers tend to do nothing when they see schoolyard bullying. Therefore I think it's pretty justified for the big kid to defend himself by hurting the other just enough so he wouldn't be able to continue his shit (note that afterwards he makes sure to keep distance and walk away)

They both deserve punishment sure but the lengthened suspension for Casey is a piss poor move from the school who didn't even do anything to prevent this in the first place (apparently it has been a long-standing problem of Casey being bullied, and that's all too easy to believe).

What message is the school trying to send? Don't stand up for yourself, just keep taking it? Yes, great move school, causing further mental damage to the victim.

UGH. I don't believe violence is the answer, but good grief.

No way! That one at the end has gotta be at least over 15 (which is totally acceptable for me).

Fuck all of you. The last girl is totally legal.

The bully got what he deserved. The one thing that bullies understand is violence and a person can only take so much till he has to take matters into his own hands. It is completely frustrating to know both were suspended (although that matter is up for debate in itself). Schools are meant to help young individuals grow, defend them when they can't defend themselves and in this case, the school should be named and shamed as a poor example of a education facility. The victim, Casey, although a few years older, clearly did not want to hit the kid, even telling him to leave him alone, but after the bully got a few jabs in and realised he could make a show of it, well, is it really a surprise to anyone that this happened?

The most shocking thing about this incident is not that the victim body slammed the bully, but that the entire world is shocked that a victim was capable of standing up for himself AND that people are questioning the victim's actions - Casey's behaviour should be inspiring to victims and a warning to bullies worldwide.

I also think Casey was sticking up for himself and that he had the right to do so.

Good on him and hopefully the bully has learnt to leave him alone.

You might wanna come to my school then girls at my school dont put up with any crap............... well............... except the populars they just scream

I don't see how this led to Casey being suspended too.

At some point there is just nothing left but self-defense, he tried to avoid, but what was he supposed to do? Waiting to get punched even more?

What gets me is that the bully has now come out and said 'Oh hey, he started it'.

In my opinion, both of them are in the wrong for appearing on ACA/Today Tonight (for you non-Aussies, they're our two main current affairs programs... usually they have stuff like 'Why Chocolate Could Kill Your Spleen' or 'Shopping on a Budget' kind of stuff). I mean, Casey was perfectly within his right to do what he did, I suppose, but I don't really think he should be coming out and making a big deal of it. If anything, the bully's just gonna start bullying him even more.

Lol, you saw the 12's interview. He's not gonna dare do anything again, despite how insincere on camera he was.

Casey has inspired people all around the world and I believe that he went on ACA and stuff because he was trying to get the message out there that teachers dont really give a crap if your being bullied they said to the person oh just dont do it and the next day they are again. Schools should be more strict with these things because bullying can leave some deep emotional scaring

I'll admit I don't know an awful lot about the situation but I generally hear people talking about how this highlights teachers not giving a crap about bullying generally, does it? If the kids gone to teachers/his parents and expressed that he keeps getting picked on daily and they turn a blind eye, I'd be pretty shocked. Of course I can imagine it happening here and there (So I won't be surprised if that was the case here) but generally I think the main problem is giving kids the courage to come forward and say it, that seems to be what most anti-bullying campaigns are about, telling someone.

I remember seeing the video at first and it didn't really hit me, just thought the kid didn't necessarily need to try and break the bully in half, but clearly this has a history and he let off some serious steam. That kid could've landed any old way and with that force, if it had have been on his head, we'd be talking about this situation in a totally different way, also the video wouldn't be up on youtube for long.
