come on... everyone has a song that they've found emotional at one point whether they want to admit it or not.

I was driving home one night, like a day or two before my brother was to leave for college and the song just really hit me.

One recent one I found that really hit me emotionally was Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond an old traditional Scots tune from the 1840s depicting the end of the Jacobite rebellion. It should have gone in the guilty thread because listening to it made me realise how I hadn't really appreciated the culture around me enough. I can be an idiot at times!

But I've only cried once to a song and that was to See You Soon by Coldplay the sitting in bed the night before my dog had to be put down.

... when I heard it live.

And usually movies or songs can't make me cry...

I must admit: the combination of music and movies can make me cry pretty easily....even if the scene in the movie isn't a sad one, but music can hit me so hard...

well there are quite a few songs that have made me cry

I don't even like this song that much, but I cried when I saw them playing it live on my first coldplay concert, I guess it was because I couldn't believe I was there.

I realize that this Billy Joel song is actually about Vietnam, but I heard this song shortly after 9/11 and some of the lyrics (particularly the chorus "we'd all go down together") made me think of the firefighters and other first responders in NY. So then I cried.

I cried when I was watching the Rock Werchter 2010 review on tv and I saw Jason and I rememberd him from a camp and he was singing there in the crowd and appeared on the big screen I heard afterwards

I was so sad I wasn't there
