Au Gre Des Saisons >>> J'erre :phu:

AU GRE DES SAISONS TU VERRAS, TOT OU TARD TOT OU TARD, QUE LA VIE ME PREND, QUE LA VIE ME JETTE, TOT OU TAR TOT OU TARD

I was originally gonna put it on my mixtape, actually xD

Downloading.

I'll probably post my review at some point tomorrow.

Time for my review.

This is really short but I don't have as much time as I thought. I'm sorry.

01 – I like the singer voice. Good rhythm and I can feel some reggae influences. I'm not really into female voice (even if since about 1-2 years I like more and more women voices) but it fits well with the music. And after listen few times the mixtape the song is stuck in my head. Great introduction to the mixtape.

02 – Beck – Loser!! I was about to put it on my mixtape but I removed it at the last minute. So it’s funny to listen to it. And I like that song. One of the catchiest song I know. That summarizes the powerful songwriting and inventive of Beck and hasn't lost any of its power over the years, though.

03 – It sounds like an old song. Probably from 60's. It’s good and fresh. Got to check out more from that singer/band. I like that sort of song.

04 – Nice and simple song. And I like the singer voice. Soft but with something interesting and emotional. But that's all, it does not touch me that much.

05 – Eagle Eyes Cherry. It reminds me my childhood!! I don’t really like it anymore though. I've probably listen it too much.

06 – English Rose by The Jam!!! This song is really beautiful! My favorite so far on the mixtape. I don't konw that much about The Jam but I love Paul Weller voice. I saw him last summer and it was a great moment.

07 – Transition is hard. I’m still with The Jam. I don’t like it. Its unoriginal and it looks like a bad pop song remix. The voice remaind me the singer of the Killer (I can't remeber his name at the moment) The voice and the music annoy me a lot. I'm sorry :\

08 – Nice sweet song. As the track 4 I like it simplicity and the voice. But maybe to simple too to remeber it after listen to the mixtape.

09 – I know this one too. It’s The Clash – Train In Vain. I like it.

10 – Gorillaz – Every Planet we reach is dead.:heart: One of my favorites. And Gorillaz is one of my favorite bands so that’s a good choice for the mixtape. And this song had a fantastic outro.

11 – This time, U2 is a bad choice. I don’t like them. But that song is OK.

12 – I know this song. I don’t know the title but I’m sure it is Bon Iver. Good way to close the mixtape. :)

Except songs 5, 7 and 11 I like the mixtape. And 12 songs it's perfect. But I don’t know it’s like something is missing. Something that makes a good transition between all the songs.

I already know a lot of those songs but I’m impatient to know the complete tracklist and know why you put those songs on your mixtape.

Thank you to my partner, I had a good time. Thank you for The Jam, Gorillaz and the Clash. :smug:

I actually was gonna put that one first hahaha. But then I realized I didn't have it on this computer and I got too lazy haha.

Hey Mike! I'm your mixtape maker tee-hee :D

I am sincerly happy you liked it. I was a little nervous because your taste in music covers a wide range and I had to stalk your last.fm carefully in order to use the right songs hehe :) It was a pleasure to make your mixtape.

You also made me very nervous haha. You visited my last.fm page like half an hour after you posted here that you were listening to your mixtape, haha. I am pretty much convinced you guessed who your partner was haha.

cool! I didn't know you were! haha you were nervous? no need to be... it was a nice selection of songs.

it's funny though that you mentioned lastfm because honestly I didn't know it was you at all. I think I just randomly stumbled upon your lastfm.

thanks again for the mix though... will be checking out quite a few of the songs again.

Currently downloading mine

I'll try to review it tonight but not sure I can though... I'll do my best :nice:

I'm not going to be able to review mine until at least tomorrow, I have a test to study for tonight.

Okay here's my review! As I said before, some of the info was still on it but I erased it before listening to the tape, not to spoil anything.

Here it goes.

1. Nice opener. It is so calm and soothing. I like it. Interesting ending :}

2. Very nice voice there. And the ending jweoifjwieofjwef. I love it. So beautiful.

3. Okay, this one is defnitely one of my favourite. I was crying the first time I heard it. Breathtaking song. The voices in the chorus and the general melody. uuugh so much love for this song.

4. Not gonna lie, this one disturbed me haha. I don't like much the atmosphere, but I don't think it was intended as a comfortable atmosphere haha. Couldn't wait for it to be over haha.

5. I was bobbing my head to this one. Not so bad, I like. The electronic drums are catchy. And the little blues influence at the end was great.

6. ooh piano instrumental with some voices speaking over. Not bad. I don't know if it'S a transition? But if so, it'S a nice one.

7. Oh my. I liked that one a lot. I love how we can hear the bass very loudly. And the voice is not so bad. Another highlight.

8. I actually like this one. The first time, not so much, but I guess it grew on me now. It's not the usual kind of thing that I'd like but it's great.

9. This one is very soothing. The strings are beautiful. And the nthe drum starts and totally different song! The voice sounds like Glen Hansard's. Which is a good thing, because I love the man in The Swell Season.

10. This is sooooo familiar. It sounds like Animal Collective. I looooooove it. Another highlight. I just love the voice. And the general atmosphere of the song.

11. This one is not the best song on the mixtape at all, but I didn't dislike it. The feminine vocals are great.

12. Quiet one. Quite calm. It's a bit long. But I know i'd appreciate more if it was at night and I was listening to it lying down.

13. Oooh distorted guitars. Nice strings at the end. I like it. It'd be great if the vocals were more audible, though. Nevertheless, I like it.

14. Classical piano composition. I like calssical music a lot. and this one gave me the impression of being from a recent artist. or a not so old one haha. A bit long though.

15. This one was special. I don't think I have heard anything like that before. The piano was stunning. A highlight.

16. This one! I remember loving it last night and now I just love it even more! Might be my favourite from the mixtape. The electric guitar mixing in with the sounds at the beginning.. I love it. The trings are very pretty. My favourite part is the last couple of minutes. Flawless song.

17. haha who is saying that? he sounds interesting haha. Nice transition.

18. Hmm I don't know what to think about this one :/ It was sort of long and a little repetitive. :/ Sorry.

19. Nice classical guitar there. Not so much for the vocals. But I dont dislike it either. Nice way to close the mixtape.

Overall, this mixtape was quite calm and filled with songs I hadn't heard before or genres I don't listen to often. I liked it a lot at the exception of a few songs. Thank you very much, mixtape maker, can't wait to see if my doubts are founded and you are the one I think you are haha.

Biggest highlights: 3 10 and 16

First of all, I apologise to make you upload twice :disappointed: Please, don't blame me, blame Chinese government who blocked megaupload.... please :embarrassed:

And here's the review.

1. An interesting intro. Sounds like a new wave 80's track. Although I thought it was Temper Trap at the first milliseconds

2. Is this Tina Turner??? If so, I LOVE YOU!

3. I love this, it has this 70's vibe with a slight Nashville air. The vocalist voice is so sensual and effortless. Love the brass, composed and arranged thoughtfully. Although it's a bit on the longer side, quite unusual for this kind of music.

4. Still in the same area with track 3, but this one is much more 90's that just make it sound so much better. The lyric is very interesting. And who the hell is Leroy?

5. Sweet Child O' Mine, that was easy. And it's Sherryl Crow, the cover which I think is better than original. I think I love you mixtape maker :wacky:

6. A slight departure from the pervious 3 songs. Very interesting. The vocal and guitar signals that this is a power rocker from 80's. But the whole arrangement says otherwise. Wow, he wails, is it Axl? Way to go arranging your tracks :laugh3: All in all it's a cool song, with modern vibe surrounding a slightly dated lineage.

7. French! I don't know how to put my finger on this. It is deffinitely interesting. The vocal is eccentric. But the arrangement, with all those violins and stuff combined with drum machine, I'm just not a fan. If only the drum machine go. For the love of my non existant dog, use real percussions.

8. French again. The music reminds me of other song, which I didn't like. But it works swell here. I'm like listening to world music here (which I like).

9. Intiguing intro. Mew like. Again another departure of style, but this one is a huge leap. When he sang "Animals we are...." I was... wait, what? But no it's not a cover to a Coldplay song. This song is certainly much more "sane" for this forum lol. I like the song. They fooled me, made me think that they're Mew, twice, but they're not.

10. Oooooh, I wish that crazy piano continues. Oh, it does. I love it. Oh, the chord progression is ubercool. I LOVE IT. The drums, against my preference for this kind of song, but it just works!!! Eerie without going slo-mo. LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE

11. Go Your Own Way, again it was easy. Cranberries? So much Dolores in it. Or maybe just Dolores? One of the best cover I've ever heard. Maybe the best. I love covers!! :)

12. Bjork-ish intro. Not really... damn you, guitar! I was hoping that this is a Bjork song I've never heard :D. Just when I'm content with this being an instrumental, vocal kicked in. Not quirky enough, IMO. I really like it better without vocals.

13. Sounds soooooooo familiar. A little bit of Moby in the intro. But, again, it's not him. I LOVE this song. It bothers me that I feel like I've heard it before. Is it a cover or something. TELL ME PLEASE!!! Or, no, maybe I haven't heard this before. Way to close a mixtape. Though if you put #10 as a closing track, I'm gonna kill myself lol

Do you know me? Somehow you put many songs with female vocal, songs with strings and brass, adult contemporary and retro sounds, all hits really close to my liking. And that Tina Turner song... :faint:

Highligts: #2 and #10

My review:

1-Beginning could have been a Beatles song then the chorus unleash. It's warm and upbeat. It's a great song, I really like it!

2-Upbeat song, sound kinda like Brandon Flowers but I don't think it's him though...Radio friendly and easy to the ear!

3-Catchy pop-rock song with an 80's feeling though it! Kinda like A-Ha! I've heard this one on the radio *recognize the chorus* but I don't know who sings this. I like it.

4-a lovely ballad starting with piano. I *think* it's Regina Spektor but I don't know that song. It's lovely, I like it (and her actually).

5-Starting with piano again but violins ang electric guitars kicks in to give an 'edgy' sound. Male singing. A nice rock song (like the violin)

6-Great drums and guitar, deep male voice: rock on baby! Dunno who this is but it's catchy! Would gladly jump to it in festivals!

7-starting with people wistling and nice guitar. It has a "indian american" feel. Vocals are both male and female. The chorus rings vaguely a bell but I can't put my finger on it.

8-The start of the song reminds me of Mew but with a singer with a deeper voice, the rest is nice to listen to. Not that found of it though.

9-Catchy rock song and radio friendly. The singer's voice is kinda 'old'...I would say someone in his 40's?

10-nice rock ballad with piano. Not too fond with the singer voice but I like the melody (again, love the violin that kicks in at times)

11-This song has a 'I'm from Barcelona' feeling. Nice but that's a song I will probably forget easily.

12-There's a fiiiiire starting in my heaarrrt....AHHHH ADELE!!! (I've put her in my mix too with 'set fire to the rain' :p) Here's it's "Rolling in the deep'! I LOVE that song: the drums, her powerfull voice...<3 I always turn up the volume max and karaoke to it each time I hear it on the radio or when I play the CD XD!

13-The kind of song that could easily fit in TV shows like Skins or so soundtrack! Like it!

14-Female singer (like the clapping at the beginning), very lovely song, I love the feeling that runs through it (don't know how to describe it but I like it!).

15-A nice song with Beatlesly vibes. Not too found of it.

16- XDD... That's not supposed to be funny sorry but this song is used in France for a commercial (an internet offer if I'm not mistaken)...so well...it's linked to that in my mind!

Overall, I really liked it!! The kind of music I enjoy listening too! Thx a lot! Can't wait to know who sings what!

I haven't been able to get on my computer to download my mixtape yet :S will do tomorrow. And I just realised that the person I made my mixtape for is like a legend on here :$

I wouldn't be able to listen to my mix until about next 24 hours. Be patient, mixtape maker :botoxlips:

My review should be tonight, but if not definitely tomorrow around this time.

Would have been sooner but managed to get a job.

I'm listening to my mixtape right now (1st song sounds like the National though I don't know the National at all haha...)

after listening to 2 songs I have the impression that I already know who made that mixtape....hmmmmm....:wacky:

all right. I've listened once or twice yesterday and I'll listen again and write this as I'm listening to it. I'm eager to see who made mine.

edit: WELL I wrote that as I was about to start listening and then my computer posted it when I brushed the wrong button, my bad, I'll start a new post I suppose urgh >.<

*impatient to know who the mixtape maker is*

Here's my review for my tape. I'm going to try to be as concise as possible, as I know I have a bad habit of ranting as I type.

1. I know this one! It's "Zorbing" by Stornoway. :cheesy: These guys are just cute; I love them! There's not much more to say about this one. Nice choice! :nice:

2. The beginning is very vague and electronic, before it bursts into this guitar riff. I wasn't a fan of the voice initially, but it has definitely grown on me. It's an acquired taste. THESE GUITARS. THEY'RE SO CATCHY. :bomb: I can't help but move around in my chair as I listen to this song. The voice reminded me slightly of Julian Casablancas, but the more I listen to this, I don't think it's The Strokes. I'm really curious to find out who this is.

3. The guitars at the beginning are slightly off-putting, but that's just due to personal taste. They're a bit too pitch-bendy for me. The song is a lot better when that stops and the vocals come in. The more this track goes, the better it gets. I love the string work on this one. This song, I find, is very summery, but it's not too surf-rock. The balance is nice.

4. Oh, God. I've tried to be more tolerant of this voice, but I just can't do it. This reminds me of The Tallest Man on Earth in the sense that while the music itself is quite good, I can't listen to it because the vocalist is atrocious, especially after he uses the vocoder or whatever it is near the end. That's honestly the only thing wrong with it, though. I'm actually somewhat picky with vocalists, anyway, if you couldn't tell by my earlier comments. "The sun's so clichéd, just like love and pain." I like that lyric an awful lot.

5. I know this song, too! It's "Shake Me Down" by Cage the Elephant. This is one of the better songs off their album "Thank You, Happy Birthday." I'm not sure how I feel about that album as a whole yet, but thanks to your reminder, I'll definitely give it some more time. The vocalist reminds me a lot of Arctic Monkeys on this song, for whatever reason.

6. This has a distinct drum beat at the beginning, and the guitar entrance completes the introduction of the song. It's interesting to hear male AND female vocals on this song. They actually work rather well together. This is kinda like a hybrid between The XX and Arcade Fire. I don't know. It makes sense in my head. I like this number quite a bit.

7. Ahhhhh! "Land of the Bloody Unknown" by The Middle East. Niiiiice. :cheesy: I just happened to get this album recently. This song is amazing. It has the most tasteful amount of banjo in it. I'm glad you put this one on here. :D

8. The intro is quite cute, with the guitar and whatnot. This makes me happy. This one has female vocals. This song reminds me slightly of a Grace Potter and the Nocturnals song I once heard on TV. Would this happen to be that group? If not, that's cool; I usually have at least a couple of things I like to guess on when it comes to these things. The only thing that bothered me was that pitch bend near the end, right before it returns to the chorus. That didn't make a lot of sense. I like this song a lot.

9. This has an ethereal, calm beginning. However, it suddenly erupts into this wall of sound, and it's nice. The vocalist fits it pleasantly well with the music. This reminds me of Cut Copy, but it has extra punch that Cut Copy doesn't have. This song makes me wanna dance so bad. Oh well, why not? The piano in the latter half of the song is splendid. I really only have two words to sum this up: Thank you.

10. "Ahhh-oooooooh!" :laugh4: That part makes me smile. This track is somewhat like the previous one, but not really; it lacks the power of the previous track, and it seems much more like a dance number to me. It's like if you took Track 9 and Cut Copy together, you might get something like that. I'm not really sure. I don't like it as much as the previous one, but that's only because I love Track 9 that much. This one is quite the track, too.

11. This song is killing me. Why, you ask? I SWEAR TO GOD I'VE HEARD THIS SONG BEFORE, BUT I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT IT IS. ARGH. I hate it when that happens. This is by an artist that I've either only started listening to recently or have only heard a few songs from. I'm not sure which, BECAUSE I CAN'T REMEMBER. :disappointed: I'm only mad that I don't remember because I like this song. If I hated it, I'd just say, "Ew, no" and be done with it. I need to know what this is.

12. This has pizzicato strings at the beginning, which set the mood. That mood is reinforced by bells (or are they vibes? I can't tell.). This song is so cuuuuute! The lyrics, the music-everything. It's so precious. I like this one a lot, too. "I think I'm fallin, I think I'm fah-ahhhllin'." Awwwww, it has whistling. I need to know who is responsible for the preciousness.

13. O RLY? This is an orchestral rendition of "Isles" by Little Comets. I didn't even know this existed. I actually like this better than the original version. The only issue I have is the slight tuning issues in the string section, but that's to be expected with strings, anyway. I learned through String Methods how hard those instruments are to play. I'm not judging. Nice choice.

14. The beginning is electronic noise; it reminds me slightly of Animal Collective or something. The guitar comes in, and it's still slightly better. I like the song better when that part drops off and it's just guitar with the occasional "whoosh"-ing of the synths or whatever those are. I felt like there were a bit too much of those for my taste, but that's not a big deal. The vocals are OK; they're not bad, and they fit the mood of the song, so that works. I love the trumpet/sax solos in it. I didn't expect the female vocals, but it was a pleasant edition. I felt like the ending was a bit weird, but oh well. Generally speaking, I like this song.

15. I recognize this one as well. It's "Stuck on the Puzzle" by Alex Turner, from his Submarine EP. There's something about this song that makes him sound better. I'm not sure. I love the line, "Something in your magnetism must have pissed them off." :wacky:

Overally, I enjoyed this tape. The only one I really didn't like was Track #4. I can't wait to get the tracklisting for this.

Oh, and I'm going to try to guess who my mixtape maker was. There's only one person in this exchange who I know for sure likes Little Comets so...

Grace?

I want to listen to this mixtape :blank:

First impressions - only 30mb, tracks encoded at 64kbps mp3, 16 tracks.

It's on my pile to be imported into pietunes

:O I was wondering whether I'd get you!! :D

Well, definitely some new bands for me to check out... some I've been meaning to check out, actually :D

Thanks again for the great mixtape! :wacky:

Haha, were you? You have no idea how much you worried me when you mentioned you were going to blare my tape for the whole neighborhood to listen. I was like, "...But what if he doesn't like it? :wreck:"

Really? That's cool. I'm glad I could give you that push in that direction.

Awww. Thank you for listening. :wacky:

Just so everyone can listen to it, here's the tape I made for Andy. Just as a warning, if you don't like pop to an extent, chances are, you're not going to like it.

a-chan: I'm your mixtape maker! :D Thanks for the review, I'm glad you liked it!

My review:

1-Beginning could have been a Beatles song then the chorus unleash. It's warm and upbeat. It's a great song, I really like it!

Yeah it does sort of sound like the Beatles! I just discovered this song about be a week before I made the tape and really loved it. It's "Where to Start" by Tommy and the High Pilots. I thought the title made it an appropriate opening song.

2-Upbeat song, sound kinda like Brandon Flowers but I don't think it's him though...Radio friendly and easy to the ear!

It's "Time Won't Let Me Go" by The Bravery. If you like them you should listen to "Ours", "The Ocean" and "Believe", I had trouble deciding which of those to include.

3-Catchy pop-rock song with an 80's feeling though it! Kinda like A-Ha! I've heard this one on the radio *recognize the chorus* but I don't know who sings this. I like it.

"Say You Don't Want It" by One Night Only. They're not popular over here, but I bet they are more popular across the pond. :P I really like them.If you are a Harry Potter fan (like me!!), you might be interested to know that Emma Watson is in the video.

4-a lovely ballad starting with piano. I *think* it's Regina Spektor but I don't know that song. It's lovely, I like it (and her actually).

Yep, it's Regina Spektor. "Eet" is my favourite by her, I love the piano, and of course her voice is gorgeous.

5-Starting with piano again but violins ang electric guitars kicks in to give an 'edgy' sound. Male singing. A nice rock song (like the violin)

Just discovered this band recently too, they're called Wakey!Wakey!. I was torn between this one and "Dance So Good", but that one is slower so I decided on this one because it is more upbeat. I don't know if other people like slow/sad songs as much as I do!

6-Great drums and guitar, deep male voice: rock on baby! Dunno who this is but it's catchy! Would gladly jump to it in festivals!

I'm glad you liked it, it definitely is catchy. "Does This Mean You're Moving On?" by The Airborned Toxic Event.

7-starting with people wistling and nice guitar. It has a "indian american" feel. Vocals are both male and female. The chorus rings vaguely a bell but I can't put my finger on it.

I love the opening of this one. I hope you didn't find that one part too weird, when he was telling the story and she was laughing. I was playing this song at work one day, and I had a customer paying right as that part was on and it was sort of awkward! :P I don't really like that part, but I love the rest of the song. Especially the chorus. Anyway, it's "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

8-The start of the song reminds me of Mew but with a singer with a deeper voice, the rest is nice to listen to. Not that found of it though.

"Blindness" by Metric. I probably should have picked my other consideration, which was "Gimme Sympathy". Overall I like that one better, but I had been listening to "Blindness" the day before and couldn't get it out of my head, so I put it on. If you liked the band but not the song, I would recommend "Gimme Sympathy" or "Help I'm Alive". They're two of my favourites.

9-Catchy rock song and radio friendly. The singer's voice is kinda 'old'...I would say someone in his 40's?

Good observation, I'm terrible at guessing ages based on a singer's voice! I just looked it up because I was curious, and judging by photos I would say he probably is around 40? maybe not. I'm terrible with guessing ages from photos too. :P But it's "The Violet Hour" by Sea Wolf.

10-nice rock ballad with piano. Not too fond with the singer voice but I like the melody (again, love the violin that kicks in at times)

haha I didn't realize how much violon I had on here, but I love any song with an orchestra or strings, so I guess that is becoming obvious! "Closer to You" by The Wallflowers.

11-This song has a 'I'm from Barcelona' feeling. Nice but that's a song I will probably forget easily.

"Hang From The Lights" by The High Wire. I discovered them by downloading the free track "Odds and Evens" that was posted on Coldplay.com. I wanted to put that one on, but I wasn't sure if you would have downloaded it too.

I love Adele too!!! I can't get enough of this song.

13-The kind of song that could easily fit in TV shows like Skins or so soundtrack! Like it!

"Sweet Sweet Heartkiller" by Say Hi. I believe they used to be called Say Hi to Your Mom, haha. This song would be really good in a tv show, I've heard some of their other songs on Gossip Girl.

14-Female singer (like the clapping at the beginning), very lovely song, I love the feeling that runs through it (don't know how to describe it but I like it!).

"Nightingale" by Howling Bellls. Howling Bells opened for Coldplay when I saw them in Winnipeg, and I was totally blown away. If I remember correctly they played this song first and my friends and I instantly loved them. The song is so haunting and beautiful.

15-A nice song with Beatlesly vibes. Not too found of it.

"I Adore You" by Melpo Mene. My avatar and sig are from the song/video. The video is lovely. This song is pretty sad, so I can definitely see why you might not like it. I have a thing for heartbreaking songs, so I love it.

16- XDD... That's not supposed to be funny sorry but this song is used in France for a commercial (an internet offer if I'm not mistaken)...so well...it's linked to that in my mind!

Haha! This one's a bit of an oldie, but I only heard it recently so it's new to me. I love it, it's definitely a sunny-day-type song.

Overall, I really liked it!! The kind of music I enjoy listening too! Thx a lot! Can't wait to know who sings what!

Again, I'm so glad you liked it! And thanks for reviewing so quickly, I'm glad I didn't have to wait long to see if you liked it. :P

okay so TAKE TWO I suppose.

Track A: No Cars Go - Arcade Fire. What can I say, great way to start off anything. I used to be really obsessed with this song (actually, the whole album) :wacky:

Track B: For some reason, I feel like I've heard this song before, maybe I heard it on Pandora or something. I dunno who or what it is at all, but I like it, specially the chorus. Very catchy, upbeat, and so on. The three times I've heard it I've been bouncing around each time.

Track C: Another catchy/upbeat song. I like the guitar, but the lyrics are a little banal. Not sure if I'm very into this song. It isn't bad, it just doesn't do much for me.

Track D: I really like this track. I'm singing along by my third listen to it, haha. I really like whatever jangly stringed instrument is going throughout it (I can't tell if it's high-pitched guitar playing or something more unorthodox.). Nice little song. I like the lyrics to this one better, I guess they're a little corny-ish-ish out of context maybe? but they go with the song well.

Track E: A lot more downbeat than the preceding few. I suppose D was more of a transition to this kind of mood. Not much going on with the instrumentation, so as far as that goes it isn't too interesting, but it's calmer than the others and fairly nice to listen to. Also, the simpleness of the instrumentation fit the song well, because it seems to me to be pretty contemplative ("I get lost in my mind..." and so on).

Track F: Ah, minor-key piano. That and all the reverb on the guitar make this really dark/creepy at the beginning. I think I kind of dislike this song. The guy's vocals kind of bother me, they're sort of whiny and shouty at the same time. The piano is a little simple to say the least, it's basically just plucking out minor chords, which gets old after a whole song (then again it's serving a rhythm function, not a melody function... but I still got bored of it, lol). Don't care for this one too much.

Track G: Forget whatever dark/slow mood was going on earlier. Poppy song, the guy's voice sounds slightly autotuned. (the backing oh-whoah-whoahs definitely are, but I'm not entirely sure about the lead's.) Cute lyrics, cute song. Not sure if how into it I am.

Track H: Soldier On - The Temper Trap :awesome: Great band, great song. Kinda confusing coming after the song it did as far as emotional flow goes (I'd've put it after track F, but whatever). I really like this song, I mean I did before, but yeah. Good choice for a mixtape.

Track I: Loving this track. I'm sure it's Elbow, because I recognize Guy Garvey's voice (it's pree distinctive, lulz) but I haven't heard it before. I really need to listen to more Elbow (I only have one album), so maybe I'll get whatever album this is off of. Really purty sawng. Elbow is just so good. :wacky: Class act, them Elbows. Definitely a keeper.

Track J: Another good track, and we're back to catchy/upbeat and so on. I like this a lot. There's nothing in particular about this song that stands out as being the best or most interesting or whatever, but I just like it anyway. I'm iffy like that, I guess.

Track K: This guy's fuckin' up everything. :surprised: I can sympathize.

Track L: Bluesy. I dig it. I like the da-da-da-das a lot.

Track M: FICTIONIST SMDLHGSSLHKG. Before I'm Old. I really like Fictionist, cuz they're really good. Yeah. :wacky:

Good tape! I'm gonna be keeping most of it, I think. Thanks a lot! I'm eager to see who made it.

Also, whatever artwork you put with all the tracks is really gorgeous! I wanna know where it's from. I googled "albadevera" (the word in the upper-left), but no hits really, so I dunno what it is.

^^ The Bravery + Regina Spektor + Adele = fantastic. :awesome:
