Eddie's music taste

Featured Replies

What do you all think?

He is so young yet listens to all this crazy shit.

When I was his age I was listening to Christian music.

When Mike was his age, he was listening to Van Halen.

Is Eddie the future of music?

Discuss.

good point.

I take it all back.

To be totally honest, I think that his surely eclectic taste in music has a lot to do with the vast accessibility through the internet. We all would've liked the stuff we love today, had we only known it, non?

But apart from that, I do feel he could become someone in the music- business. He's awesomely talented and obviously driven. I really really mean that.

...hopes to make l'Eddeh cry...

I wish I was cool like Eddie when I was his age.

I'd say his music tastes will most likely change, just as everyones taste change. As to what it will be who knows. I'm sure that my music tastes will be much different say 10 years from now than they are now and who knows if the same bands I like today I'll even listen to then. I mean yes I did listen to Van Halen (nice dig briggs :lol), and a lot! I felt they were going to be a band i'd listen to forever, but now I'd never put on a song by them. Same goes with other bands like The Who and Led Zeppelin.

However think that some bands that have stood the test of longetivity will still be in my life in some form or another (The Beatles and Radiohead).

But either way, who really cares. You like whatever music you like and no one should think otherwise.

* feels left out because I don't know what this magical age is that everyone is referring to *

* looks at Eddie's profile *

.

:stunned:

* agrees that he is probably more in tune with exploring all sorts of music than most people his age *

.

.

* hopes that we have not unwittingly placed insane expectations on his future *

I still remember when I first watched his There There cover. I was so impressed and watched it for 5 times back to back.

REBECKA.

hello rudy

I like Eddie :dazzled: and he has a nice taste in music :dazzled:

I disagree. I was on the internet all the time at his age, but normally at that time you're more influenced by peers and by the bands and radio stations that shout the loudest. In any case, I know that I would've dismissed most of what I listen to now when I was Eddie's age because it would be so contrary to what I was inculcated to 'like'.

Well, I would have benefited from the web a lot. And liked music like Animal Collective and My Bloody Valentine and so forth A LOT. It would have made my life.

But then I had no peers and spent my time sitting on trees, so I was...hm...different, I guess.

the Important question is WHO IS EDDIE :uhoh2:

the Important question is WHO IS EDDIE :uhoh2:

Sir Italian Plastic.

When I was his age I had Britney Spears' CD :blank: then I got internet access and everything changed :P so yeah I agree with Gautama. And the kid is very talented, I'm sure he'll be famous

He's got that Benjamin Button thing going on. He liked Backstreet Boys and Hanson when he was 50.

Eddie: Not only does he have impressive music taste, his is also an impressive musician.

WHO AM I?!

So, where is the "There there" cover?

I was wondering that also.

The links in the first post of the 'your music' thread aren't working for me, so I'm guessing it's somewhere else...

oh yeah i deleted all those covers because i'm not sure i was embarrassed or something

hmmm

lol this thread

When I was little I listened to Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Green Day etc as it probably made me feel different..none of my friends listened to that stuff. But then I started getting into the stuff my dad was listening to, mainly The Beatles and Coldplay a little later on (oh and he listened to Illinoise a lot so I always made him put on Chicago. lul.)

But yeah the internet was the main thing that REALLY got me into music. I saw Coldplay in 2009 then joined here the day after. I wasn't a big fan of Radiohead then but I heard In Rainbows and loved it (Weird Fishes mainly) and then im not sure what happened i guess i listened to the rest of that stuff.

Having a laptop with me pretty much all the time meant i could find new music easily.

I got into electronic music from listening to The Eraser remixes and my brother showing me stuff. He was in love with Burial at that time so soon I was too...

As for hip hop I have liked it for a while but listening to Four Tet's Madvillain remixes made me really really really love Doom's voice so I listened to more of his stuff and other hip hop.
