probably been posted before but i love it.....they sound great and i always love to see an interview, even if the presenter takes the piss, although he does it to all his guests.also i love this mans show in general,he always makes me laugh.

oh yes,i saw it

what about it?

Oh well...

Atease is 'different'. I post there all the time

I find it enjoyable. Really cracks me up sometimes.

Plus, it has all the latest Radiohead exclusives. Like gigs, etc.

Very informative.

But yeh, it's true... a lot of people there are anti-Coldplay and anti-Muse for instance.

But it's just opinions. You shouldn't let people drag you down by saying your music taste 'sucks'. Just ignore it. I got used to it. And I know better ;)

OK but it seems tragic to go on a forum in order to ignore the others... I think if you visit a forum, it's to get other people's oppinion, and if you don't give any importance to the others then you just have to stay home and listen to your music all alone. I don't think forums are created to slam people with different opinions. This behaviour you describe on Atease makes me think they're the real idiots.

I never went on atease yet. Guess I'll have a look.

Something else : may anyone upload No Surprises video. I love it and I can't seem to get it.

you know how listening to some kind of music puts you in some in the category of behaving you like the music "asks" you to. well..i'm going to atease froum for a week now, and i can't help myself but i'm constantly going under a disagreements with the members there, not cus of the different opinions, but cus of the basic way of culture..for example..last week someone said arpeggi reminds him of coldplay, and the first reply he got is that he's a pure IDIOT. i don't remember ever seeing that kind of words on this board no matter what a specific person would said (unless there was a totally heathen situation). it0s just rude. i'll continue..i thought to myself, ok this is just a rude person..lets go on, but all the other comments were really insulting to the original poster and to me cus i snapped when they called him an idiot. anyway..i won't and cannot accept the fact that certain patchwork goes for listening certain music, not even the "official" patchwork but the one that a person who listens to that music thinks it looks like. you get me?

the attitude on that board is: you have to be worth it to listen to rh, no coldplay and similar stuff. and i think to myself..for god sake..is this really the way rh wanted for it's fans to live?

yes, some AtEasers are like you described them, but not all of them

i can understand why they don't like bands like Coldplay. AtEasers' music taste isn't based on 00's "rock", their music taste is much deeper than the mainstream pop-rock. actually, i think many members on AE like and own Parachutes and AROBTTH, but X&Y and particularly some songs on A Rush of Blood too were too mainstream and people had a feeling that Coldplay don't care about music anymore, money and popularity what is on the 1st place. and they have a point, don't they?

on the other hand: AtEase's Other Music is pretty much based on Pitchfork. if guys like Ryan Schreiber or Brent Di Crescenzo describe an album as awful, then 70% of AtEasers will follow them and won't even give a chance to that stuff.

but i have to admit Pitchfork is the onliest music reviews mag that i read, because 7 of 10 their reviews might be helpful and enjoyabe.

and also...Coldplaying isn't too much different from AtEase when it comes to music. people here dislike artists like Green Day or Britney Spears with the same passion as the AEs dislike Muse or Killers. the only difference might be that people here are nicer and have a narrow music knowledge

well, AtEase is a great place. not all of them are idiots, some. but you can find idiots everywhere, for example here on Coldplaying. there are some idiots here as well

Though I didn't enjoy gymnstics at 6 am but still was nice

About atease - actually some people there have pretty good music taste, I've even discovered some new good stuff because of a few reviews :smug:

i want to go on schoolcamp too! My bro is going next week! Yes!

Home alone

So if pitchfork says an album is good than all those people on atleast would go out and buy it thinking "well that Ryan said it was good" but it turns out to be crap, they will have wasted money. Besides reviews are just that one person's opinion on that album, a true music fan doesn't go on reviews of an album.

a true music fan doesn't go on reviews of an album.

a true music fan first buys a Kasabian album and only after realizes how crap it is?

i'm suggesting to read reviews before buying crap like let's say Kasabian

first people will download the album, won't they? and only after they will decide to buy it or not

Pitchfork is a great source to find new music, unlike the british Q or NME
