  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

Oh wait..it works again...

A whole new look! :nice: I like it!

Dunno if you already read it on the festivals thread..

Michael Eavis confirmed to NME this morning that following the huge success of this years Glastonbury, plans are in motion for another in 2008 and a band has already been booked to headline.

Eavis won't comment on who it is but has already confirmed that it will NOT be U2 or Muse, saying 'we don't need U2'.

Interestingly Thom Yorke has been spotted at the Glasto festival over the weekend, so Radiohead are a strong possibility along with Coldplay who last headlined back in 2005. Other rumours (mostly made up by myself) include The Rolling Stones, Oasis, David Bowie, Sir Paul McCartney and R.E.M

1994, 1997, 2003, 2008???

Could be, although I think the stereophonics might headline it again.

although I think the stereophonics might headline it again.

I really hope not.

They've never had anything decent for many, many years now.

Is it just me or does the beginning of The Beatles "If I Needed Someone" sound a lot like Cuttooth? Perhaps it was inspiration?

i really hope they headline next year.....who knows?

fingers crossed anyway

'we don't need U2'.

:laugh3: harsh.

 i hope it's Radiohead *prays* they don't tour enough, and although it's unlikely that i'll be able to go and see them live at Glastonbury, at least i'll be able to see them on teevee:D.

Thom Yorke, Maximo Park guest on Modeselektor album

'Happy Birthday!' is due out in September

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and Maximo Park make guest appearances on Modeselektor's forthcoming album, 'Happy Birthday!'.

The German electronica duo's follow-up to 2005's 'Hello Mum' is due out on September 11 in the US. It includes 17 tracks as well as a CD-only bonus track, 'I Can't Sleep (Without Music)', featuring Maximo Park.

Yorke provides guest vocals on the album's penultimate track, 'The White Flash'.

The album title was inspired by the fact that both Modeskeletor men, Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, are about to become fathers.

The tracklisting is:

'Godspeed'

' 2000007' (feat. TTC)

'Happy Birthday'

'Let Your Love Grow' (feat. Paul St. Hillaire)

'B.M.I.'

'EM Ocean'

'Sucker Pin'

'The First Rebirth'

'The Dark Side Of The Frog'

'The Dark Side Of The Sun' (feat. Puppetmastaz)

'Black Block'

'Edgar'

'Hyper Hyper' (feat. Otto von Schirach)

'Late Check-Out'

'The Wedding Toccata Theme'

'The White Flash' (feat. Thom Yorke)

'Déboutonner' (feat. Siriusmo)

'I Can´t Sleep' (CD bonus track feat. Maximo Park)

:)

Thom Yorke was spotted at the festival, therefore his band MUST be playing next year. Nothing said about him being there to just watch new bands he might like to invite as potential support acts. I'm sure if he got spotted at the Tidworth Area Festival, people will say Radiohead will be playing there, instead of X-Factor runner-ups.

It's so bloody hilarious that Thom yorke will appear on the same record as Puppetmastaz. :laugh3:

Maybe just to me though...

Colin? He is 38 now or something?

Well..happy birthday :D

At least he's 12 years younger than my parents.

Which makes it a bit more bareable that I find myself drawn to him like that.

Oh man, if one could find a man like Colin.

(Or Andy Bell, but that's another thing)

 Or thom yorke himself......

i know!!

unfortunately he's one of a kind (well, unfortunately for us, fortunately for him )
