Radiohead

I watched Meeting People Is Easy for the first time last night, great doc. I'd be interested to see a doc revolving around Kid A though.

  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

That's surprising! Is it a super rare song?

It's a song he only released as a single, and on a DJ compilation, which I haven't found a good download link for :P

new song

LIVE FROM THE BASEMENT

:dazzled: !! I love it already, it sounds so good and kinda warmer than other TKOL songs.

Why does Ed look so serious, though? :uhoh2:

New song is meh.

Tbh I don't think the current Radiohead/Thom Yorke sound does much for me though in general. Too hip and shit.

I LIKE IT :dazzled:

I want a studio version :awesome:

Thom really needs a haircut though.

I think it looks nice in a going-through-a-midlife-crisis kinda way. He straightens it better than I can straighten mine.

I like the new song. I especially like the arpeggios that Ed is playing. The sound is really great and full, so I'm excited to hear the other songs!

Also I don't know if you guys noticed but it sounded like Feral at the beginning.

THIS!

that hair do epitomises a mid life crisis.

rather close to this

Dammit I'm at work so I can't listen to it right now!

I thought they weren't going to be doing FTB until July 1st? Or is that just when it is supposed to air on the tele?

It isn't until July, but I guess they decided to give a teaser of what to expect.

Seriously. Radiohead's in such an omg midlife crisis mode right now. I think it's why they're trying to be all hip as shit with TKOL and stuff like that. Don't get me wrong, it's still creative and interesting and all (except I'm so over TKOL right now it's not even funny lololol) so it could be a lot worse, but it's just kinda funny.

With Thom being in love with all these artists [originally] from Detroit (Fly Lo, and J Dilla according to Saturday's office chart), he should put his money where his mouth is and they should come to Detroit on their next tour. It's my understanding that they've avoided us since the 90s (apparently getting robbed or whatever put a bad taste in their mouth).

Detroit's where techno was born innit? Techno -> electronic -> all the hip as shit stuff Radiohead's doing now. Makes sense to me

I doubt it's where techno was born (but maybe it is), but it is an extremely music-rich area regardless, and electronic music is big (hence the festival last month), and there are oodles of DJs from here that would probably make him all !#$&_%#(_#$*(&@#&()(%#_%$+, so I think it's only right for them to swing by.

Of course I'm also being biased for selfish reasons.

wtf woman you don't know your own city's culture

http://www.gridface.com/features/a_brief_history_of_techno.html READ IT AN WEEP BITCH

edit: also this obsessive radiohead fan I know irl won't get off my back for calling the new song "mediocre", come on bitch, Reckoner this is not :blank:

Reckoner is overrated

...yeah I said it!

I may be obsessive, but I wouldn't do that

The first few times I listened to it I thought "well geez, this is great but they could have done so much more with the vocals". I love it now, but first impressions are usually the best representation. I know I listed it as my favorite on my YouTube playlist, but really it's not (second favorite at the time).
