Why don't you like Clive Deamer? I'm not saying he should officially be a member of the band but he's a great drummer and really adds a lot to the songs.

 

I'm not sure if it's just a musician pet peeve kind of thing, but the performances just sound messy. So did FTB/Glastonbury.

I've never been a fan of multiple drummers.

 

 

I'd prefer it if they just stripped down the songs and made simpler In Rainbows-esque versions.

Alas, Radiohead was not able to break the SNL curse. Personally, I think every band sounds horrible on SNL.

As for SNL 2011, mmmmm....didn't care for Lotus Flower to be honest. :\ Kind of bummed about it. It's my favorite off the album before Separator and Bloom. Staircase was incredible, though!!

I'm not as with the Radiohead fanbase as I am with other groups, as much as I love them...just out of curiosity, where was the presale and who was it for? Was it one of those that you had to be a member of something to participate?

the presale was on the band's website on Friday. Tickets sold pretty fast and I don't think there were too many let out. Like for the Atoms for Peace show last year I think there was only like 300 tickets per night released.

 

Anyone could have participated I think, but I think you'd have to sign up for a WASTE membership.

Oh well, that's my own fault for not paying close enough attention. So many bands, some things just get lost in the shuffle :sad:. Doubt I would have gotten them anyway, I know those are just as hard to get, scalpers or not.

The prices are way too ridiculous, so no, I won't be. SIGH :bigcry:. I just thought with all the rules about will-call and once you pick up the tickets you HAVE to enter the venue, it would at least help the scalper situation, but judging by polls and gripes on Twitter, very few actual fans got tickets for the predetermined price.

 

I live about an hour away from the city, so it would have been very easy to go, I go in all the time for concerts and stuff. At least they're on the Colbert Report tonight, but it's going to sting to watch :P

You could buy a car or send a kid to private school for a year on that. Even if I were wealthy, absurdly wealthy, I don't think I would blow that much on a show. Even a farewell gig for one of my favorite bands ever, the type LCD Soundsystem did this year, I think that as long as I wasn't going to starve myself, the absolute MAX I'd pay for a single ticket to something like that for someone that owned my soul (i.e., Coldplay or The Strokes only) would be about $1000. And I'd feel absolutely ridiculous about it, too.
