September 23, 201114 yr Ah, Atoms for Peace. Almost forgot about that project. I'm glad that little thing will finally now exist in an actual album format, likely with lots of stuff we didn't hear before. And I'm glad you got tickets, though I never had any doubts that you'd get them. ;)
September 23, 201114 yr yeah what I'm really excited about is since I bought tickets through WASTE I get to go on a separate line from ticketmaster people AND get into the venue before they do. so I'll be getting really close :awesome: :D edit: on a side note I discovered this... really good [ame= ] [/ame]

September 24, 201114 yr ^ Great song although kind of curious you posted it in a Radiohead thread (unless you meant to post "....And the World Laughs With You")
September 25, 201114 yr SNL was enjoyable.. I like seeing them on tv, it beats the computer Thom Yorke sounded pretty bad for most of Lotus Flower. Staircase was pretty good, more sinister sounding than on FTB. The band will probably do better on Colbert Report... hoping they play Bloom :)
September 25, 201114 yr ^ I agree, he sounded off during Lotus Flower, but Staircase was awesome. Unfortunately, it's not limited to SNL. They have sounded off on Lotus Flower at both Glastonbury + FTB. I would love for them to prove me wrong but so far, it seems they cannot really play Lotus Flower live. Of course, a lot of it has to do with Thom Yorke choosing to dance like an idiot everytime he performs this song
September 25, 201114 yr Lotus Flower I haven't been a fan of live. But Staircase sounded awesome! if people missed it: http://pitchfork.com/news/44097-watch-radiohead-on-snl/
September 25, 201114 yr Ya staircase was awesome..but Lotus flower just doesn't really work as well live.
September 25, 201114 yr Yeah I pretty much agree with what the rest of you said. I'm not a fan of Staircase, but it turned out much better than Lotus Flower here. And was it just my imagination or did he screw up some of the lyrics? edit: One thing I found interesting... Colin usually keeps his eye on Phil for keeping rhythm, but I noticed that both Colin and Phil were keeping their eye on Clive! Interesting. Sorry, that was random.
September 25, 201114 yr Lotus Flower has never really worked well live, but this was definitely the worst performance of the song to date. I couldn't make it past two minutes. Staircase was as awesome as can be expected though.
September 25, 201114 yr i really don't like the 2 drummer thing :\ Why don't you like Clive Deamer? I'm not saying he should officially be a member of the band but he's a great drummer and really adds a lot to the songs.
September 25, 201114 yr The one day I stay up late enough to watch SNL, Radiohead are performing. What are the chances? :P Anyways, I liked their performance but as always Thom Yorke's voice got a bit. . . annoying after a while. Really loved his Lotus Flower dancing though, ahehehe. :wacky:
September 25, 201114 yr Dislike both performances. I'm getting disappointed. I'm not happy with the extra drummer, I don't really want an Atoms For Peace album, I prefer another Thom solo album, or some collab album with anyone cool. I'm just not liking this anymore. kbai.
September 25, 201114 yr Thom Yorke annoying? He's the best singer IMO :P I think the performance was ok. :) So pumped up for their tour in 2012. Especially when I heard that on local radio station today. :)
September 25, 201114 yr Alas, Radiohead was not able to break the SNL curse. Personally, I think every band sounds horrible on SNL. Something about their stage's sound is always off. I remember thinking Arcade Fire sounded weak too. So this was not a surprise to me. Colbert might be better.
