  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

^ way, that's so lovely! :lips:

and oh la, what a great great setlist. oh man... :cry2:

:awesome:

OH MY GOD!!!

What a fucking amazing show! I was in the 2nd row!

Thom also played one verse of True Love Waits before EIIRP!

Also Like Spinning Plates was not planned.

After the venue I waited. Thom and Jonny left early I saw them in the distance. I decided to stick around a bit longer and Ed, Phil and Colin exited. I got to meet all of them and basically tell them what a great show it was and they all acknowledged me and said thanks. I got the middle spread of my In Rainbows CD signed by all of them. I also shook Phil's hand and asked him if he was going to play a US tour of solo stuff and he said he wasn't sure.

I'll be posting my videos soon... (just uploading now...)

Jesus, Mike, what a grand gig! Totally happy with the night you picked, hm? :wideeyed:

You lucky lucky boy!!! :D:P

Looking forward to your clips; you chose to stay nearish Jonny, right?

Great, thanks! Did you actually watch the show through your camera lens?

edit: gonna go now, will definitely enjoy your uploads! thank you. :)

no... I was filming, but had the camera like near my chin so I could enjoy the whole show! :D

haha... actually right before he did the last song (Nude), he mentioned there being an afterparty, but that we would have to figure it out.

but honestly amazing show! check out my videos if you can... pics in the coming days. but I need sleep now! g'night all!

OMG this is fucking unreal! :awesome:

Mike, you're really, really, really lucky. :)

Someone on TKOL part 2 website said following:

READ THIS:

My friend was at the show. Afterwards, she met and chatted with most of the band. She said Ed O’Brien told her, quote: “Next year is gonna be a huge year for us. Big tour. We’ll be back in NY. Working on new stuff. Possible new album. Well, you know how we are.”

Also, she said Colin said the band had discussed releasing “Big Boots”!!

HUGE NEWS!! TOUR + ATOMS FOR PEACE ALBUM + NEW RADIOHEAD ALBUM IN 2012

And I really like the fact that Nude is the last song. It's probably one of my top 3 Radiohead songs. :)

I have avoided this thread for 2 weeks, Mike Im so glad you got tix ,no one deserves it more than youand this quote just made me sooo happy

Wow, 2nd row and a good chat with some band members. That's a good night!

Holy poop, I'm so happy for you Mike!

Looks as though you should have followed Thom, he's DJing somewhere right now.

:bomb: holy poop

edit: If they are really planning to stick around in the U.S. much longer, they might just announce a show or two in Chicago during the week of October 10-14, since Portishead (and therefore Clive) will be in Chicago for a show at the same venue where AFP played.

Glad the show lived up to expectations. Really awesome that you got to meet and talk to much of the band. :awesome: Acknowledgement by your favorite bands is one of the best damn feelings in the world. I wouldn't mind a Phil solo tour but I think a full Radiohead tour is the priority at the moment.

I have another friend who was also at last night's show (not as close to the stage as you were, but no more than 10 rows of people back) who said the venue was stacked top-to-bottom with celebrities again, though different ones than Night 1. He mentioned Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson, Jack Black, Daniel Craig, and Judd Apatow, so in case people were wondering why they had so much trouble getting tickets if they didn't go through the fanclub sale, that tidbit certainly doesn't help. :P
