Ok so I do not like Shiver.

 

Its not bad, but it isnt my favorite. Everyone seems to go nuts when they play shiver live, but I die alittle inside when shiver replaces Cemeteries of London. Like I said, it isnt bad...just not my favorite. Is there anyone else that doesnt like it when they play it live?? I just feel like that song slot could be filled with some absolutely wonderful songs...(In My Opinion something like Talk or Glass of Water)

oh I love 'shiver', but its each to there own. People think I'm crazy for not liking 'fix you' (infact its crap, shit etc...), 'politik' and 'Viva la vida', all rubbish songs in my opinion!

It's all personal opinions so no you're not crazy, you merely have a different taste of music.

If I'm asked, I will say, yes, I like Shiver. But I tend to skip it if I'm listening to Parachutes. I bought the CD single with For You and CWYS on it, and skip Shiver there too. So, do I like it as much as I say I do? Also like Politik but sometimes not in the mood for it.

As everyone says up here, each to there own.. There are songs you like more, or less..

Well obviously this is a coldplay fansite. If you say that you like every song equally, and that you do not like more than others....well then i would call shenanigans on that.

I don't know what that last word means, but THIS.

^You are not crazy. Everyone has their own personal taste. SHIVER in my opinion is overrated. But I love TROUBLE and POLITIK. I am sure someone thinks they are overrated. This is a place where we all share thoughts and ideas about all the music.

So don't be afraid to give your opinion as long as you are willing to accept the opinions of other as well.

Trouble is better than Shiver.

In fact, several songs on Parachutes are better than Shiver.

 

But I still like Shiver a lot, more than at least half of Coldplay's songs, including the vast majority of Viva-onwards. And seeing as how Shiver was absent from the Viva tour aside from the acoustic set in Latin America, it's certainly welcome.

Fix You is also my least favorite Coldplay song :P

Shiver is great and I think of youre there when its being played live it'd be amazing, but theyve been playing CoL incredibly lately!

Shiver isn't my fave. but it's still good... Nobody doesn't need to agree what others like. :shy:

You aren't crazy :P I actually prefer Cemeteries of London over Shiver also. Everyone has their own opinion of Coldplay's songs (for example, I really do not like Warning Sign, although it seems that there are tons of people here that love it :D)

I hope I didnt start a debate with this! Agreed though, everyone has opinions.
