LEAK DAMN IT!

This is getting frustrating. I cant wait for 1 or 2 weeks for a damn leak :(

Yes but if it has leaked somewhere, it would be aroung here in like 2 seconds. I think more sites dont make it more realistic. But I don´t know :(

Checking pir@te bay and i$o hunt and Sp0tnet everyday. If its leaked it will be on there soon. :)

I risk sounding very dumb here, but if it's out there couldn't EMI still be stopping it? Wouldn't surprise me if they had people on the net all day looking for the same thing as us!

When do albums leak? I mean do you have some examples? Because we are 3 (!) weeks away from release... isn´t that a bit...unrealistic?

If its on the internet then EMI can never stop it. It will be on usenet and torentsite within seconds.

I dont want to ruin something, but I think we still have to wait for a week AT LEAST.

Don´t get it wrong guys: I signed up on that site with regular users and power users and I "reported a leak" and now there are two users who say it has been leaked...now I know that this is really not a clue for a leak...

Oh, god. It's been hard trying to stop counting down the days to the official release, and now I can't stop thinking about a leak.

No but it has to be confirmed by a power user then we know for sure. And ofc. keep your eyes open on all the known downloadsites and usenet. :)

Next week is the most likely, guys :nice:. No need to despair yet. And if this thing doesn't leak, it'll be a miracle, I think. And no, EMI can't stop anything--record labels are effectively powerless in these things, so a lot of them have learned to embrace them. If EMI or any label could stop it, then leaking wouldn't be the phenomenon it is.

 

As I mentioned a few pages ago, follow @leaksallday on Twitter. I think we'll know before they tweet about it that it leaked, just because of the nature of this board and all, but it's a good way to see what leaks and when, and to learn about the timeframe of these things. Most of the stuff leaking now is due out in mid-October. Next week should bring more late October stuff :D

Mojor Minus and Moving to Mars were also prevented from leaking before their airplay on the radio. Think the safety is super strict. Maybe their will be no leak indeed.

Single songs leaking follow different procedures than albums leaking, and "Paradise" did in fact leak, though only a few hours before first radio play. Their safety seems average, meaning that it'll probably leak anyway--It has a traditional release schedule and structure, meaning that leaks are most likely to come from the physical CD factory itself. Prominent albums (and not so prominent albums) pretty much ALWAYS leak. Exceptions to this rule are people who do surprise releases, like Radiohead this year. When something's released traditionally, as in on physical CDs and with huge lead-up and promo, it just...happens pretty unavoidably. Kanye and Jay-Z outsmarted it, and unless Coldplay made similar deals like they did (I feel like we might have heard about it if they did), I don't think there's a shot of this not leaking at some point before the 19th.
