Please, don't be one of those people that tries to sugar coat everything. It doesn't help. Saying "passed away" doesn't change the fact the man isn't living anymore.

 

I can understand commenting if someone was being very disrespectful, but "dead" is a fairly accurate and non-insulting description.

I remember as a child, hearing that a relative was 'dead'. The word was so sudden and harsh...and painful. But it left no room for denial, and looking back, it probably made it easier to take since there was no sugar-coating. Steve Jobs was more open about Death than most, so he'd probably prefer the frankness of the word. But it's never an easy word to hear/read.

 

Unless he's a Time-Lord, he's 'dead'. Not a happy word, but accurate. But what he said about how to LIVE is invaluable. :)

Yep, I was around for the Viva leak, and trust me, you won't miss it. In a matter of seconds, the forum will explide...you may have trouble logging on. But you won't miss it if there's a leak!t'sa lot of hyper fun and excitement and you'll love it! :D

Hectic. How did it work for Viva? When did it occur?

Did the site crash with everyone on?

It happened on June 4th or 5th, so only a couple of days ahead of the release, and I think the site may have crashed...Ian? I had a helluva time logging on. And it was heavenly chaos!

 

A leak is almost as much funn as a gig in that all the true fans congregate at once and share it.

 

When VH was first released, some of us sat in our chairs all night waiting up for it til our bums felt sore,lol...hence the Violet Bums. ;)

True, they let a lot of the songs out during the festival tour, but studio versions won't be quite the same, and there are still 4 or 5 we've not heard yet.

 

And don't forget it's only us avid fans who even know we've heard too many songs. To the casual cp listener, the new songs hardly exist...if that makes sense.

I'm actually really surprised that it hasn't leaked yet, with this anticipation and the listening sessions I thought it would've found a way to the internet by now.

Can't wait for the leak.

 

I don't get how people actually find the leak though......are there like people searching on google every few minutes or is it mostly news websites who upload articles on the leak?

It spreads like wildfire. One person tell's another, and by the time an 8th person knows, pretty much everyone will. Everyone can be connected to everyone else by 8 people

Depche Mode and U2 fans (like me) have to wait 4/5 years between each album :(

I would be fine if they took 3+ years as long as the end product was a masterpiece. For example, Portishead released their third album 10 years after their second one.

As long as the album is worth the wait, I don't mind :D

 

And those of us that are fans of the book series A Song of Fire and Ice know what it's like to wait a long time for something; the latest book just came out a few months ago after a 6 year wait :P
