I like how the show is in NYC, and there's only one NYC contest to actually go :dozey:. Dumb residential restrictions. Right now, I think I have a better chance of winning the ACL contest, and that's in Texas :lol:!

For the list of radio stations, these trips include airfare which obviously NY residents dont require. So, are we not allowed to apply to these contests?

I think most of them state in the rules that you have to be residents of the immediate areas to apply for those particular contests anyway :sad:

I just added a website with a list of all CBS Radio stations to my first post to make it easier for everyone to search for their market. It's mostly Adult Contemporary stations running the contests. Can't look at any more of those radio websites, they are so annoying to the eyes and slow.

The one for Connecticut has you "bidding" with points you earn from being a loyal listener to the radio station :dozey:.

Yeah, I bet like half of it is people that win through radio contests, and the other half "privileged" people, like sponsors and industry people. As usual.

 

Anchorman did say something like "stay tuned for chances to win" though, right? Maybe soon they'll do a giveaway on the official site like they're currently doing with 165 pairs of tickets for the ACL taping. That would make me feel a lot better, if the band themselves have a large chunk of tickets to give away to people that apply.

I live outside of NYC :D. I just don't know if it'll be worth it to try to get in. I know some people sweet-talked their way into ACL, but I don't know if I'd be able to meet the same luck...and I currently have a broken leg, so I don't know if I just want to have a nice day in the city if I don't get in, especially because I'd be going alone :P

I am considering begging my way in. Sucks that i am missing them by a few days in Toronto and can't find a surefire way to get into this show.
