Coldplay record sell out predicted as ticket scammers prepare to pounce

 

On Monday, Coldplay announced that they would undertake three rare performances this December:

 

• Dec 3, Glasgow SECC
  
• Dec 4, Manchester MEN
  
• Dec 9, O2 London
  

 

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9.30am but viagogo predicts that tickets will sell out in three minutes.

 

In 2009, Coldplay played just three stadium dates and sold out Wembley in just two minutes and in 2005, Coldplay's five date tour sold out in twenty minutes. Coldplay was the number one band search term post festival season this year ' moving up 20 places prior to the start of festival season in June, and after being voted top festival headliner by BBC6 Music this week, viagogo predicts that fans will see overwhelming competition for tickets, with just over 50,000 tickets going on sale.

 

viagogo warns that desperate fans are likely to fall victim of scam sites, preying on fans who miss out on tickets the first time around.

How long do you think the tickets are going to last? I mean, is there any risk of not getting them even if i try tomorrow at 9.30? Maybe i'm just worrying too much :thinking:

I want to go SO BAD but I don't know if I'm allowed to and we have to get seats in the disabled area.

 

What are the better seats/tix to go for?

 

What are the best seated sections? The worst?

 

Is that entire yellow area general admission/standing?

I hope so because I can't make December 9th.

^It's not confirmed, but it seems like there is a possibility with the spread of the dates and one night at the O2 is really unheard of generally for all bands.

Okay really nervous now...

I'm horrifically nervous as well.

 

I had to get up because I can't sleep. I've got all the sites up but god, I am so afraid of not getting tickets.

It's been two years since I last saw them (pretty much literally) so I really want to see them again.

 

Admittedly I can get both o2 and Coldplay pre-sale, so I've got two chances. But I'm afraid that if I don't get them today it will be so difficult to get them tomorrow.

 

In the end though, I'm going to have to go first tier seated as I can't take another day off my lab and so if I turn up after I finish, I would get a really bad standing spot.
