September 28, 201114 yr Im pretty sure you can hear alot of the studio version in this video because they are not playing all the instruments live. http://www.youtube.com/user/ColdplayVEVO#p/u/2/ZtuaLctBNg0 ps. listen carefully to chris when he says "so cold so cold" and " you use your heart as weapon" you can hear the studio version very clearly in the backround. to me it sounds very edited please correct me if i'm wrong.
September 28, 201114 yr Yes, that is probably part of the studio version of the song (the backing vocals). But the keyboard(?) parts, they haven't played live all summer, so that's not really new.
September 28, 201114 yr You can hear the robotic backing vocals vey well here (someone posted this video in another thread) [ame= ] [/ame] I really like them :D
September 28, 201114 yr It's not really playback, they just have a backing track for some instruments(Like with most CP songs) and for that voice it's like a second robotic voice(which I like a lot) Chris definetely sings live.
September 28, 201114 yr The robot voice in the background are the backing vocals. You can clearly hear that the voice is singing the harmonies. I would have preferred Will to do those parts, but the effect is pretty cool. I hope they don't exaggerate it too much though, the studio version should focus more on the lead vocals and turn down the backing vocals a tad.

September 28, 201114 yr That's weird. :freak: But kinda cool. In a... I-Dont-Really-Want-To-Hear-That-Again kind of way. :uhoh:
September 28, 201114 yr The backing vocals are pretty cool, I just hope they remain subtle. I don't want them to drown out the real vocals, because they do sound pretty fake.
September 28, 201114 yr The backing vocals are pretty cool, I just hope they remain subtle. I don't want them to drown out the real vocals, because they do sound pretty fake. I think they will. The backing vocals for a lot of Coldplay songs sound like that, and their production is usually pretty good.
September 29, 201114 yr i like robotic voice im surprised there aint no hate on it yet haha, there is a bit already. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78197
September 29, 201114 yr Second time i've heard these vocals after hearing them for the first time ages ago and they get the thumbs up from me. They seem like they've embraced and adapted to this poppy sound well.
September 29, 201114 yr You can hear the robotic backing vocals vey well here (someone posted this video in another thread) I really like them :D i dont like electronic stuff but this was mindblowing
September 29, 201114 yr You can hear the robotic backing vocals vey well here (someone posted this video in another thread) I really like them :D This isn't the real version is it?
September 30, 201114 yr No, but it's very likely those backing vocals will be in the studio version in some form.
September 30, 201114 yr No, but it's very likely those backing vocals will be in the studio version in some form. Why, what was that version on the last page then?
September 30, 201114 yr Yeah the backing makes it seem more edited as in more like a studio version, it doesn't feel like a live track even though it is- its messing with my head.
September 30, 201114 yr No offence to whoever made that but if that was the studio version I would kill myself!!!!!
September 30, 201114 yr Well, you can clearly hear that it is the tweaked voices of Will and Chris..?
September 30, 201114 yr I have taken that video and put the Hurts Like Heaven from iTunes Festival on top, the backing is clearly from that video. And together they sound briliant! :smug:
